Re: Practice Table
Yes. The ironing board has been the go-to standard for an in-room toss station for years. My buddy Shootitall built a small practice rig that would fit in a briefcase or tote bag that I carried with me for years when traveling. I could set it up on the bed, a night stand or table in the hotel room ...

Re: Let's Build a DON'T Strategy from the Ground Up
A Martingale (double or nothing) is one of the LAST things I'd do. Now, if you want to do Mad Professor's Short Leash, which is in MP's version, I believe a four step Grand Martingale, then knock yourself out. DarthNater will take it out FIVE steps. This is based on numbers I've posted here before ...

Re: 7 Things I Wish They'd Told Me BEFORE I Discovered Craps
I love this one. I once tossed a hand with 23 Sixes and only one Eight. That Eight came just before the Seven. Indicator? I say yes. Each roll is it's own independent event of probability, bet with the vibe/trend. Just because a 6 is easy to make doesn't mean it's coming in this hand.

Re: What's a good "can't lose" strategy seeking a "big" payoff with a Don't 4/10?
LOL. That's a tough one. I have a pal I play with from time to time who is a high limit Don't bettor. I watched him toss out a $5K naked DP bet (table max) and get knocked off. No problem. He tossed out a second naked $5K DP bet and got knocked off. Now, old Heavy would probably not have tossed that ...

Re: Point shoot or play for the long roll?
I will say that much of this comes down to whether or not you're playing a game within a game on the Come Out or not. If you are using the same set on the Come Out that you're using during the Point Cycle - then you're more likely to get those repeating points. If you're setting for the Sevens on ...

Thank goodness you're not playing at Island View with their trampoline tables. Yeah, there are a few guys who have figured out how to kill the dice at the back wall there, but they are few and far between. To make it worse, there are just enough random points made there that it's tough to make it ...

Re: How do you keep track of your chips?
Like 220 inside, I organize my chips with low denomination chips on the outside, protecting my higher denomination chips from rail birds trying to steal a chip from my rack while I'm distracted tossing the dice. So white chips on the outside, red chips next to them, green chips next to them, and ...

Re: Low risk strategy for someone new to DI
Chasing losses and not sticking to a firm loss limit can kill your bankroll over the long run. If you're betting on random rollers you might consider adding a DP or DC to your action before Placing any bets. Take note of how $5 Bill is playing the Don'ts, waiting until the shooter gets three tosses ...

Re: betting strategies for novices
Okay, let's keep it simple. Pass Line bet for table minimum. When they send you the dice look for a pair of fives. They're easy to spot because of all of the dots. If you see a pair of twos - the fives are on the opposite sides of them because opposite sides of the dice add up to the Seven. Take the ...

Re: Question...
Well, here's the $25 question. What is your buy in and win goal. Are you trying to win ten to twenty percent of $300 or $3000? Is a $50 - $60 win "worth the drive" for you or are you looking to win more? Now here's part two of this. If you can go with a $300 buy in and consistently win . . . say 15 ...

Hey, I get it. Honestly, I do. Some people just aren't "people people." They don't like standing at a crowded table with a bunch of strangers, often stinky strangers, sometimes grouchy drunk strangers, frequently strangers who can be openly hostile toward newbies who make newbie mistakes, players ...

Be cautious watching the YouTubers in general because they're in the business of building followers so they can monetize their sites. That means they only show stuff that makes you feel good, like WINNERS and LONG ROLLS and BULLSHIT like that. They rarely show their losses. There is a guy who plays ...

Re: betting strategies for novices
You shouldn't be spreading more than 10% of your action on any hand. I'd probably go even lower on a bubble craps machine. Maybe 6 - 7%. Let's go with 6% so you'll get a little extra stretch out of your bankroll. That's $24 per hand. If you only want to bet the Six and Eight then Place them for $12 ...

Re: Hop betting
What are you trying to accomplish by making a Hop bet on the Come Out on a bubble craps machine? I cannot think of many instances where I'd make that bet if I were to play a bubble craps machine, which it's highly unlikely you'll catch me doing. About the only time I could envision myself doing it ...

Re: Heavy's 6 and 8 Place to Come Heat Seeker
You could play it on a bubble craps machine if you wanted to. It's all about minimizing your downside risk by having no more than two to three units at risk and making your Come bets "earn the right" to have free odds by repeating once without them. Catch a decent hand and you'll make some cash. On ...

Zero dollars. Because I can't really see the point of playing them. Just come find me in the casino. Hand me your money and I'll kick you in the nuts and the end result will likely be pretty much the same. You'll hobble out of the casino bent over, your guts hurting, sick at your stomach and broke ...
