Re: Six and Eight, Inside, Outside, or Across?

$110 even numbers, collect first on 6 and 8 4 or 10 first hit - go to $35 , next hit go to $100 then collect and press 50% - looking for that 3rd to hit pay $200 ... for me it usually one but not both. If one is not hitting (or both) after 5-6 tosses - move to inside number that is hitting - 6,8 or...

Re: Hop Bets?

I noticed that too on a recent trip. Lot's of sixes, coming from left faces of one die off axis. What to do, with money already on 8 & 9. I know! Hop 6/2, 6/3, 6/4, and 6/5. $5 @ we will take $40 down and buy 10 for $40. What could possibly go wrong? Result 6/6!!! But yes, those results on a craple...

Re: Hop Bets?

One of the DI outfits in Vegas incorporates some sort of hops in their betting strategy, I think with the 1's and 6's, hopping all combinations like you outlined. I won't say who it is, so as to promote it, as I don't agree with a lot of the stuff he preaches.

Re: $42 to $180 in 60 Seconds

That big jump from $42 to $180 on the back of a hardway hit does throw a wrinkle into it.

The conservative side of me would say to split the $10 HW bet to $5 on hard 6 and 8 and reduce the power press to $150 if one of them hits.

Re: $42 to $180 in 60 Seconds

rv23, I also like Heavy's approach of fast playing the first number to hit as a primary number, though I tend to think of that number as being given the opportunity to be the primary. At each of the power press points in my press schedule, whichever number happens to reach that power press opportuni...

Re: high limit tables, $300 buy in

I've used the play BankerDude outlined, placing just a single 6 or 8 bet, collecting the first, placing the sister on the second, press both to $42 on the third. For the initial place bet, I wait until I get 2 hits on either the high or low side and place the number on that side hoping that the tren...

Re: Getting over the Hump

I find that when I'm shooting and I get on a run of a number and get it pressed up that it can get distracting. Normally, in between tosses, I try to stay focused on the point but when a number gets pressed up, I'll lose focus on the point and begin focusing on that stack of chips out there. When I ...

Re: Bonetracker

Darth: How does one handle BT input for stack shots or train shots? BT uses Irish's avatar for those. :) In a stack shot the axis on the dice is vertical rather than horizontal. If I used a stack shot, which I do not, I would probably make the axial faces, i.e the top and bottom of each die to the ...

Re: CRAPLESS CRAPS-

All of MS is like that, plus they also auto buy 5 and 9 as well with vig on the back end. MS has the best rules for craps players.

Re: CRAPLESS CRAPS-

You are right BD. It's basically equal extreme outside and any 7's bets. The any 7 bet pays 4 to 1, so it would cover replacing the extreme outside bets if a 7 is tossed. In MS vigs are paid on the back end. It's a decent play if you can toss horn numbers reliably enough, otherwise it quickly become...

Re: 22Inside's Betting Evolution

As for randies, it depends. I use several different approaches depending on what their tossing looks like, but they're all very conservative if I bet on them at all. Regardless, I do qualify all of them before jumping in. I’d hate to hijack this thread with a dice question, but here goes..... can y...

Re: 22Inside's Betting Evolution

This thread is not that old. I posted my current one on the first post of this thread and have been using it fairly unaltered since to wargame it. I play with little tweaks to the press schedule all the time, but the basic aspects of it are still the same. The rest of the thread is pretty much almos...

Re: 22Inside's Betting Evolution

Dicepops, My betting style on myself and a handful of other known shooters is why I started this thread to track its evolution. It's detailed way way back on the first page of this thread. Other shooters that I know real well, I'll adjust to what I know about their tendencies. As for randies, it dep...

My Farengi associate speaks Klingon and tells me the exact translation is: "Time flies like an arrow, fruit flies like bananas." Sorry 22Inside! That's ok. The original purpose of this thread is long dead at this point. I'll probably never attempt another one of these types of "evolutionary" posts ...

Re: Bonetracker

That's the conundrum with BT...is it designed for betting or tossing analysis? These are two different things. Good/Bad 7 calculations are more for betting focus. The limited betting modules in BT are really primitive and not really all that useful, IMO. BT is a great tool for toss and edge analysis...

Re: 22Inside's Betting Evolution

Oh, I think I got the gist of Dan's post well enough. It's funny. I saw a post by that idiot Garrison promoting his Platinum Craps book on Facebook this morning (PLEASE do not buy this huckster's book, folks. I cannot emphasize that enough). He was attempting to argue casino math versus gambling ma...
