Tracking the Table Trend

Setting and influencing the dice roll is just part of the picture. To beat the dice you have to know how to bet the dice. Whether you call it a "system," a "strategy," or just a way to play - this is the place to discuss it.

Tracking the Table Trend

Post by sharkbyte »

Ah, alliteration... But a serious discussion, I hope.

In an MP article I read recently, he discussed the benefits of being able to tell when a table is trending a new direction, or at least away from what you are currenty betting/playing for.

Granted, this most often comes up in discussions of betting on RRs, but I would propose that the majority of players - even on this board - find themselves betting on RRs. Even MP has admitted to doing as much! :o So I believe this topic can be beneficial for many.

What I am asking is what each of you would look for, or identify, as an indicator to a specific trend type. Because I would advance the idea that in most cases you don't get much of a warning.

In MPs article he gave percentages (which I cannot recall to quote here) of how often a table is trending a certain way; however, it might also be said that there are instances where a trend might only last for a single shooter!

I don't have my own answers, at this point, as I've not explored this subject. But I am truly interested in hearing other people's thoughts.

Thanks.

As I have said often, a trend, hot, cold, choppy, is always only one shooter from changing.

Are you guys talking about influenced outcomes or random outcomes...or are you mixing them together...trying to suck and blow at the same time, as though there isn't any difference?

Well, I appreciate having permission from all parties to run my own forum.

Jaime - I'm the car guy around here.

This thread has been edited to remove information that I did not want to see on the forum. Yeah, it is my forum and I can do that.

One of our members has departed out company and will not be rejoining us. He shall remain nameless. Why? See the above line.

Gentlemen, please remember in the future that the Betting Strategy portion of the board is on the PUBLIC portion of the forum.
