Las Vegas table's
what are the minimums on the strip ? for Friday Saturday ?
the reason I ask is our flight cost just went up a $100 each! Hopefully they will go down after the election.

On the strip you should expect $10 minimums and be happy with $5 if you can find it. During peak hours of the evening on the strip, some minimums will rise up to $15 and $25. Rarely do minimums exceed $25 at a given location anywhere.
If you want lower minimums and edges, just by the numbers, Main Street Station is the #1 best place overall. You pay the price in terms of dealing with all the other fleas around who also know. And technically by the numbers, Joker's Wild is even lower on the minimums, but don't let you buy the 4 and 10 with commission on the win.
My advice if you're into the game and want to save money on all the ancillary costs is just to go to the Silverton and focus on the game instead of the distractions. That's what I do as a local. 10x odds and $3 to $5 minimums ($3 is not that common there though .. just a small window in the mornings). This place is high enough on minimums to keep the fleas away and has good enough low edge bets to keep the regulars coming back.
Rent a car and drive around, or if you know locals, they can pick you up and drive you around. That's what I did for IronCross and gave him the grand tour of all the low-cost deals on the Boulder Strip.
If you want to stay at the fancier hotels, you should, but I would spend my time enjoying the fancy hotel instead of gambling while I was there. The dealers on the strip are tourist orientated.
You will enjoy the game more if you play with more of the locals that you will find at some of the other locations.

I do not drive i'm staying at Harrah's on the strip as our daughter is running a marathon Sunday night called Vegas nights cause they are shutting down the strip for the runners,Ahigh wrote:On the strip you should expect $10 minimums and be happy with $5 if you can find it. On the strip, Bill's and Imperial Palace usually have $5 game.
Also can take the free shuttle from Bill's to Gold Coast (always $5) and Orleans (sometimes $5).

Re: Las Vegas table's
My experience is that the Casino Royale dealers are a little less-than-friendly. Dayshift has been fair to okay, but the night time dealers have an attitude of apathy in general. Of course, that could be attributed to my personality although I haven't gotten that from any other casinos. I was in Vegas this past weekend and even on Saturday evening, CR had $3 minimum if that factors in to your choice. For me, the minimum is not worth my past experiences there.
Haven't rolled 'em at Bill's so I can't say on that.

Bill's also has the $3 minimum electronic betting table that I feel is one of the best DI opportunities around. Never anything on the table to block a toss, small table, never seen heat, and usually few players. Just have to figure out the e-betting, which is not hard.

On your side the Flamingo, the put in the Jimmy buffet Margaretaville Casino. The have a table by the front glass near the strip. I stopped there in May and the table was $5, nice hard table. I was unable to get SL1 or SL2, due to a few back to back 4 pt firebet winners. They had just left, but the
hanger-on-ers were give back what they won and I did not get my spot. Now I did buy in from SO, and tossed. I practice that position when I due my Tune up with Beau and usually give it a try a few times.
I did make one point ( double odds on $5 pass ), hit a few box numbers but that was it. Basically bought in for $200, made $60 or so and cashed out due to the crowded table. Like Heavy says the quick hit and out.
One question, what daily time frames are you planning on playing when you are in Vegas. We all get that "all day itch", but are you planning a certain time period for 'serious play' and then maybe later for the fun $50 buyin play?
That may give some of the members here who play some suggestions for you as to where they have had good luck based on the time of day they play.
Let us know so we can jump in and offer our opinions ( and we have lots of those here )

Bally's and Paris have nice tables for what we try to do. Early morning limits will be $10. Afternoons and evenings you'll probably be looking at $15 - $25. If I were staying at Harrah's I'd play at those two properties, Bellagio, and perhaps Venetian. Play early bird sessions in the mornings. Forget about evening play unless you want to hit some place like Bill's. Be sure to catch the Big Elvis show (free) at Bills. If you are desperate for a low limit game at a table surrounded with losers then hit Casino Royals (play the Don'ts)

I think Heavy was saying, at Casino Royale, its a dumpy table and if you drop something on the sticky floor do not pick it up, that he did not mean play the Dont on YOU, but play the Dont on the other players. When I was there a few years ago, early am, when you leaned into the table (SL1) it kinda rocked back n forth. I asked the Dealer if there was a problem, then realized it was Foster Brooks and I was not getting anywhere.
Since you do not drive, the Casino Royale, is not bad to place a passline bet and get your toss in check. Bills is always $5 and so is Imperial Palace. Bills changed their felt and now are very bouncy. Imperial Palace tend to have one table open, its crowded and sometimes the pit critters can be dicey. Both of those have 14footers I believe.
One thing I remember is Harrahs does frequently have 2 or more tables most of the time and quite often they are only $5. Make sure you talk to the Pit Crew when you check in and ask them. Harrahs did have a nice 'short' table over by the Carnivel Court Area( dont worry you will find and hear it ) and it was by the open double doors. It was $5 and fun to play, the problem was it was short ( maybe 10 ' ) and it was a bit of a challenege to ease down the toss, but it was fun to play on. Oh by the way, maybe because the dealers were Girls with bikini tops was why I remember it.
This past May I stayed at Ballys and they had $5 during the week early am and early afternoon on one table. Like Heavy said, they are very very playable and most of the members here have had great hands at both of those places.
Just pay attention a bit here as this thread goes along, as a few more members may be adding a few additional places to play where they had good luck.

Re: Las Vegas table's
If you can do that in the casino I you can own the casino in fairly short order just by parlaying come out wins. Let's see.I no ican hit a 7 on the come out roll 9 out of 10 times
$10 to $20 to $40 to $80 to $160 to $320 to $640 to $1280 to $2560 (that's nine) . . .

Re: Las Vegas table's
Bill's has five dollar games almost all day. Bally's has five dollar tables early. Not sure if Fat Elvis is at Bill's anymore. He might be at Harrah's. Bill's usually has friendly dealers.
Re: Las Vegas table's
Well, since Fat Elvis lost all that weight - no telling where he is. Actually, I just Googled "Big Elvis" (He's lost a little weight - down from his high of 600 pounds plus) and discovered that he has, indeed, moved down to Harrah's.
AD, you might wander down to the Flamingo if you feel like stretching your legs and check out the tub in the Margaritaville.
