Wincraps questions

Setting and influencing the dice roll is just part of the picture. To beat the dice you have to know how to bet the dice. Whether you call it a "system," a "strategy," or just a way to play - this is the place to discuss it.

Wincraps questions

Post by gargoil » Tue Sep 02, 2014 2:31 pm

Okay members I downloaded this application just last week (Yea I know what took me so long???) and my questions are the following

1- Do I need to configure anything or is it setup to run out of the box as a true in casino play
2- How accurate are the rolls as far as mimicking true random rollers play?
3- I am not interested in tracking any stats or SSR just want to practice different betting methods. Do I need to turn on / off anything?

Thanks

You do not need to configure or change anything. You can run it as is "straight from the box". However you may want to change game configuration to match the casino conditions where you play. For example I believe the default for the Field bet is 2x for both the 2 and 12. If your casino offers 3x on the 12 you may want to make that adjustment. You may want to adjust the allowable odds to match your casino. etc.

The rolls are perfectly accurate in mimicking random dice. The program allows you to switch to several built in RNGs, or even plug in an RNG of your choosing. If you prefer you can manually enter the rolls, either one roll at a time, or read into the game from a file of your own making (i.e. BoneTracker rolls, or recorded casino rolls, whatever).

Not really, but eventually you will want to program your betting strategy and then run it automatically against 10's and 100's of thousands of rolls. When you reach that point the "Hyperdrive" will become invaluable to you. But to start, just making bets and rolling dice manually will give you a sense of how well it models a craps game.
