Most aggresive across plays

Setting and influencing the dice roll is just part of the picture. To beat the dice you have to know how to bet the dice. Whether you call it a "system," a "strategy," or just a way to play - this is the place to discuss it.

Most aggresive across plays

Post by Operator » Sun Dec 01, 2013 9:41 am

Hey guys Im adding to my play book so i ran into a problem this weekend. Yes i have 6&8 plays. Yes i have pass line with odds plays. What i ran into this weekend was quite rare and not profitable for me.
I had 2 major hands and only profited by two passes. Yes i know these hands happen rarely but still stuck their with my teeth in my mouth with full odds and wacthing one guy rake in money like hell.

Any who show me what you have No regressions please !!!!!

I guess I'd need you do define "two major hands." For some people a major hand is 12 throws. For others it's 112. It would also help to know the composition of those hands. Lots of trash numbers? Few trash numbers? And where you tossing mostly inside or outside numbers, etc.? Likewise, we have no idea what your bankroll is for this play. I could tell you to start with $160 across, but if your buy-in is $200 that would be sort of pointless. In fact, I would suggest that if your buy in is $300 or less you probably have no business betting across to begin with. That leaves you with up and out plays off the inside numbers, I suppose.

Okay, with that said, let's assume about a $2000 buy in. If you're buying in for $200 then just drop a zero from these bets.

$160 across - that includes whatever action you have on the Pass with odds, so if you are in a $5 game and the point is six you'd take $25 odds and place the eight for $30 and the outside numbers for $25 each. The first four hits on the inside numbers you go "same bet." The first hit on the four and/or ten gets power pressed. It pays $50 - drop $25 on top of it and press the number that hit to $100.

Once all of your action is paid for you take full pressure on every hit on the four and ten and press every other or every third hit on the inside numbers. The four or ten press schedule is $25 - $100 - $200 - $400 - $800 - $1600 - $3200 - and the next press will likely take you to table max on a $5 game.

Then use a play like the one I described but only bet "even numbers."

It's really not difficult to come up with aggressive plays, the real question you have to answer for yourself is, how much are you willing to risk or can afford. The big issue with most aggressive plays is you have to be ready for the variance of the game. You could setup for $180 across and do some aggressive pressing and that sounds good, the flip side is, you get stung with the inevitable PSO, or let's say you practice a 5 count or some variant, the roll right after you set it up is Big Red. I'll admit if I set it up for $180 across and it got knocked out 3 times, without enough hits to cover my action, I'd be calling it a day, don't know about you.

This is the real issue with aggressive plays, most people just see the payoffs, successes, not the failures.

What you really need is to balance an aggressive play that won't sting your bankroll on the downswings. What kinda play do you do currently? Also, why an across play?

I detect a training opportunity! LOL. Don't worry. I don't believe in making wholesale changes to someone's toss - especially one that's working relatively well for them. Of course, if it's not working . . . well, time will tell. Certainly looking forward to January. And no - I won't be wearing the thong.

Weird things firing in the brain tonight. Suddenly I flashed back to the seventies and the British gal who proclaimed (around this time of year) that "All my men wear English Leather - or they wear nothing at all."

Yeah, time to take a sleeper and hit the rack.

Here's one for you Operator, it's not Across but —

Know one guy that plays this (he (won't?) never bets 4/10, don't know why), he buys in for $1K.

$110 inside

5/9 @$25 goes to $50 next hit pays $70 drop $5 goes to $125 take pay out of $175.

6/8 @$30 goes to $60 next hit pays $70 drop $20 goes to $150 take pay out of $175.

After the $175 pay out, he does not regress:

5/9 from $125 press $75 to $200, then $300, $500, $1,000, $1,500, $2,500, etc.

6/8 from $150 press $90 to $240, then $360, $600, $900, $1,500, $2,400, etc.

Hope that is clear as mud for you Operator, LOL!

Win a LOT of money or get a transport job out to LV or west coast and pick up that beautiful table!

I don't know if this qualifies as most aggressive, but here is a compromise for the across wannabe bettor. I've been working with this in practice and I like it.

Set the S6s or any other set that throws off a lot of field #s. Bet $30 6 & 8 and $25 field. $10 pass WOTCO. $30 odds. On first 6 & 8 hit press to $42 (or $40 in odds if you come out on a 6 or 8), then no more pressing until you have covered your $95 in exposure plus made $100 profit. Once you are profitable by $100, start adding box #s for $25 and then after they hit once start pressing. On a long hand you can press to the freaking moon and make $1500 in profit or more. I generally keep the field bet at $25.

This is a reasonable way to cash in on a long hand, without too much exposure in the beginning. A CO 7 costs $75, total exposure is $95 out of pocket once you are in the point cycle, unless you come out on a five, then you are in for $150. If you find that you are throwing fives, let that be the first number you add once you have racked $100 in profit. The five can drive you crazy with this betting system, if it's a problem, either add it to the initial betting or find a set that doesn't generate too many

H- CHeck out the subliminal message that English Leather spokeswoman is sending out with the way she handles the pool cue. Oh, for a nice ear job.....

Im stuck at the house now with the flu yup they say i get the blue star award for having it first in my area. Hoping the power want go out any who i got out of dallas before it hit.

Thanks guys ill munch and crunch the numbers and see what i get have fun guys and thanks a bunch.

You guys are getting wayyy to excited  Yes ten is fair but not the norm. Yes their are at least 2 point out every 10 different come outs. Most rolls go according to whom ever counts this up either 3 rolls and out or another crew says 6.5 and out yet another math guy says 8.

Thats math though just does not hold up at the table where ( WHATS HAPPENING IS HAPPENING) Kind of like wacth to guys talk about com out action both were right both were wrong.
exsample last month i tossed 7 yes 7 straight world winners yes i got lucky and yes i made money.

But heres what happen last trip 10 come out hands no world numbers at all not even a 7 winner. Lost so money on that. Had good roll lenght but not to many points made.

Time before that thigs changed again and made passes instead of long rolls hand lenght never got passed ten. I made money on that no one happy at the table but me.

Whats happening is happening Phase coin by johnatan wigg not my own. But to the course of hand length 10 fair 20 good job 30 to 40 nice hand shooter and a small clap.

Kind of like penis size im 1.5 larger then the norm but in the football locker room all the black guys said was

Operator, here's another way to bet (Power Press) the 6 & 8:

$30 1st hit, Power Press $1 and go to $66
$66 2nd hit, Power Press $7 and go to $150
$150 3rd hit, press to $300
$300 4th hit, same bet
$300 5th hit, Power Press $10 and go to $660
$660 6th hit, same bet or Power Press $70 and go to $1500
$1500 7th hit, same bet
$1500 8th hit, press to $3000

When are you getting that beautiful table? LOL!

Thanks jonah what have you got on the 5 And 9. Im running these things against real rolls to see how they fair. Heavy knocked it out of the ball park with the 4 and ten up and pull deal. Yes i would love to have that table. Yet if i bought it i would not have enough money for my trip to tunica next weekend.Heh heh

Hey Operator,

How about this variation for your 5 & 9:

$25 1st hit, Full Press and go to $60
$60 2nd hit, Power Press $6 and go to $150
$150 3rd hit, go to $300
$300 4th hit, same bet
$300 5th hit, go to $600
$600 6th hit, same bet or Power Press $60 and go to $1500
$1500 7th hit, same bet
$1500 8th hit, press to $3000

After you hit these in Tunica next weekend you should have more than enough for that beautiful table!

Go get that money for YOUR table T!

And "Mr. Typing without thinking or even before doing the arithmetic" gets his knuckles whacked by Sister Grinch... LOL!

For the third hit on 5/9 the bet is already at $150 (First is $25, second is at $$60, and third is at $150).

$150 (not a Buy bet) pays... $210

On the third hit you press FROM $150 to $300 for the fourth bet, which is an additional $150.

You were PAID $210.

$210 - $150 = $60 IN YOUR RACK.

You just "paid for" both 5 and 9 at $25 each OR another way to look at it — you just paid for a little more than 1/3 of your $160 Across bets on the THIRD hit NOT FOURTH hit, please pay better attention.

Last, Operator asked for "Most Aggressive Across Plays," not moderately aggressive plays or semi-aggressive plays because he needs to make several THOUSAND dollars NOT several hundred dollars to buy that beautiful table!
