Luxlogs,
I don't understand your Stop Trigger with the 7. If I have a few numbers covered with odds bets and haven't been wacked, a seven would make me a winner. and the dice would be passed to a new shooter. So, how is a seven a Trigger to stop DC bets? A new shooter means I would be restarting the Dave's System betting. I guess you mean if the 7 is thrown on the come out you stay away from this particular shooter and lose your first don't pass bet? Does this mean you think a 7 or 11 or 12 on the come-out is a "sign" to stay away from this particular shooter? If so, I hope you are a big trend follower for right side betting. If not, then you should play Dave's System with the right capital which is bring $3,000 and be prepared to use it.

Yes Isgood you are correct, the 7 is a Stop Trigger on the CO along with the 11 and 12. It also stops you dead in your tracks if the 7 or 11 takes your DC Box Bet or pushes on the 12. And yes it certainly does allow you a lot of time to look at the waitress's. These are Sam Grafstien's Stop Triggers not Dave's, they may have no place whatsoever in Dave's System. I incorporated them looking for a safety net.

Isgood's point on bankroll is really applicable for the longtime results. Dave used to re-buy 1-2 times for +$1,000. He did not surrender. One day I said hello in the late afternoon and he told me he was digging out of a hole and he had been there since the open. Bankroll limitations and table limits are the obstacles darksiders face. That said, most sessions I see enough darkside swings to make cash. The other death ray is the choppy table where both rightsiders and darksiders lose.

Good Luck

Luxlogs,
Suppose ,using Dave's System, you have three numbers established and shooter hits his/her point. So, your don't pass bet gets knocked off. Then he tosses a 7 on his/her CO. You will win on the other two numbers. And you are saying to stop betting on this shooter because he/she threw a 7 on the come out?
Shooter just made you money. I do not see how staying away from this shooter is a good choice. Why not just walk away when a 7 or 11 or 12 is thrown on the come out. I also thought that the way the story goes is that if a 12 is thrown then a 7 is not far behind.

I am not speaking for Dave nor Sam, this is just how I see things after isgoods chain of events.
Shooter just made his point followed up with a Grace of God 7 on the CO. You just got lucky and had a Semi Hot shooter make your Don'ts pay. Do not keep betting AGAINST this Shooter, if anything, start betting with this shooter or go hide under your Don't rock next to me. Dave's a machine, he will just keep betting waiting for the table to turn. I however, right or wrong, see retreat as a tactical option.

As far as the 12 goes, one can say with some accuracy that a 7 is not far behind any number. I used to always take down my place bets when the dice hit the floor. (Dice hit the Floor 7's at the Door) not any more, it's all BS. Dice are Stupid we all give them too much credit.

These Stop Triggers have saved my bacon more than once and they also have cost me. That and never chase a losing bet. I must add that ever since I have incorporated Sam's Stop Triggers I have not gone on Tilt, they force you to stop and smell the roses when you really need too but don't always want too.

Thanks isgood your really making me look long and hard at both Dave, Sam and believe it or not, ME.

If you see a "SYSTEM" or "METHODOLOGY" or "INDICATORS" as a benchmark,
you may elect or choose an avoidance maneuver. The event you elect to avoid
may or may not follow immediately...Wait long enough and the incidence of said
event may occur....

It could be said to be supported by empirical evidence or as some say

.." Just coincidence"

SAY WHAT :?:

One of the STRONG FACTORS in favor of THE CASINO in offering the

SMALL-ALL-TALL side wager or "carnival bet" is the high unlikely hood of
any one shooter tossing ten of the possible ELEVEN dice combinations prior to
THE SEVEN showing in a series of dice tosses.........

"IT HAPPENS and I have seen it happen more than once" : you say.

Yes you may correct that the #'s 2,3,4,5,6.8,9 ,10 ,ELEVEN and TWELVE
are on occasion tossed with zero 7 haven been tossed to punctuate the
course of events.........

THE HOWEVER FACTOR

That series of events occurs far less than not.

Perhaps the mathematics of the craps matrix is always in place and that
LONG RUN AVERAGE THING actually works out over a very LONG RUN
time-wise.

Well this Sunday last I had the pleasure of playing alongside "Dave" himself. How am I so sure? The dealer called him Dave, Duh, and $10 DP and DC, $240 on 6n8 $300 on 5n9, never on 4n10. Down after two losses. Thats his system and he stuck to it. Never varied except to sit out for certain shooters.

It wasn't pretty, in fact it was a disaster for the Don't, I have never seen so many back to back point numbers and hardly any PSO. I also play the Don't on Randys and I barely stayed alive depending on my own shooting to bring me back instead of the usual other way around. 5 hours and down $50 I left with one hell of an education, for the record, Dave was still playing when I went home. "Marker Please" I wish him well.

Dave will stay as long as he can to recover. Saw him one early evening and mentioned I don't see him at night and he said he was there from the morning. Luxlogs, glad you saw him in action. Nice guy. Some day try shooting from the Darkside. He followed me to the other table one time and I was "on" shooting from the DP. He made a killing and I did good but he was green and black and I was red and green.

Good luck if ya make it ... Susie Fever and I were going to go to St. Louis for the weekend for a fun tournament, see old friends and stay at Hollywood and Lumiere there ... but this latest storm put an end to those plans!
LONG crummy winter.
Off to Council Bluffs, Iowa next weekend for a PBA Senior tourney and staying at Horseshoe there ... if mother nature cooperates.

It appears to me that it's time to revive the "Dave's System" thread. How do YOU play the Don'ts? How does it compare to Dave's System? Don't play the Don'ts? Maybe it's time you did!

March 13th 2016

FlextimeLV was asking about my Don't play on my thread "Ending Up With a Win" so I thought I would post it here since Heavy was asking how you play the Don'ts.

---------------------------------------

Hi flextimeLV

I must have missed your question.

Yes, I have been doing that grind but it works out great for me. I have two dice sets that I use. One for the come out and another one for the 7-out. I got those sets using bonetracker and practicing at Americraps house. On myself I bet $10 on the Don't Pass. 5,6,8 or 9 I just leave it to win or lose. On the 4 or 10, I lay single odds.

On other shooters I wait 8 rolls and then put a $10 Don't Come bet down. If it travels to the 5,6, 8 or 9 I just leave it to win or lose. I used to place it if it went to the 6 or 8 but I have learn that I win more by not placing it. There are 5 ways to lose on the 6/8 and 6 ways to win if the 7 rolls. If I get knocked off I will replace it just one more time and that's it. If my DC bet travels to the 4 or 10, I will lay single odds ($20 on a $10 flat bet).

I have been playing this way for a couple of months and it really works for me. My past mistakes came when I got down and I tried to chase my losses by betting more or betting another way.

I have this Caribbean Cruise coming up with my son in January so I can't have another wreck. Today was my 8th trip to the casino this March 2016 and I am up +$467 so far without a loss. My buy-in has been $100 and I walk away when I hit my win goal of $50. I know that is hard for a lot of people but I only leave 20 minutes from the casino so it's no big deal for me to come back the next day.

I hope that helps

Gretins Bill;
I like this play on the Dave System. Do you think it would be successful without personally throwing the dice. I will give this a try in the Casino tomorrow.

Will you consider raising your wagers when you get to $1,000?

Thanx Bobby Bones

Hi Bones

Well yesterday I didn't even get the dice before I had hit my win goal of $50. In fact I was up $55 when the dice came to me. I said, "No, Pass the Dice," and I walked away. That has happened to me before. Our tables are $10 at the Grand Victoria in Elgin 2- 14 footers 100x odds, Fire bet $1 gets you $7 after making 3 points ( Not Good) also the Craps for Cash for making all 6 numbers. That's a freebe for the shooter only. 12 in the field pays 3x

Today I increased my win goal to $84 only because I had $16 in lose change in my pocket and I wanted to get a $100 bill to put in my cruise envelope. I made my win goal of $84 and left the casino. I cashed it in and stuck a $100 bill into my cruise fund envelope.

You said, "Will you consider raising your wages when you get to $1,000" Well at the moment I am trying to raise enough money for my trip in January 2017 and I don't want to blow that right now. Things are going just fine at the casino the way I am playing. I should have enough pretty soon. After the cruise then I will think about whether or not to play bigger.
