I have been working on my toss, and right now I'm about 1/3 of the way through a new book of 720 rolls on BT. Seven avoidance is getting better, and I'm on a standard HW set, since I am the king of right die off axis. Trying to play to my slice for now. Anyway, The trend for me seems to be outside numbers and crap numbers:
Inside: +.88%
Outside: +2.78
Field: +2.92
So my question would be, on a limited bankroll (let's say $200), would I be better off running a "heatseeker" type strategy, or a pass line and field bet? Assuming a $5 table...

Well, there are about a dozen different ways you could go on this - assuming your current numbers hold up in live play. Of course, they probably won't so you'll need to allow for that. The Pass line bet is the price of admission if you want to shoot. Unless, of course, you want to shoot from the Don'ts - which might be an option on a limited bankroll. You really should not have more than $20 or so at risk initially. Couple of thoughts . ..
Don't Pass Line plus single odds. Place the six and eight for $6 each. Play $5 in the Field. Collect a few wins, then start using the Field bet like a Come bet. If the ten rolls you win $5 in the Field. Use that $5 to Place the 10. If the nine rolls you take the $5 win and Place the 9. Once you have most of the numbers covered with place bets you can lay off the Field bets and just run a press and take play. Be very alert to any personal "indicators" and any time you hear that little voice in you head saying "I think I'll turn 'em off after this next hit," do not wait to turn your bets off. Turn them off immediately. Take 'em down if you think the hand is getting long in the tooth.
You can accomplish much the same with the old Heatseeker, but personally - I like more action. It's a trade off.
The othe play you might settle on is SIA's old "One hit - can't miss" play, which is a $6 DP combined with $6 each placed on the six and eight.

Went to the casino just to "practice" - just played a do/don't so I could toss. There were a about 3-4 other players, and one guy said something like "this guy could be making a killing on the field" when I got on a good hand (a lot of 10's). So I will try your field play when I am ready. Thanks again!
