Baccarat and Roulette

Believe it or not, craps is not the only game in the casino. Savvy players have a back-up plan for when their craps game is off. If Heavy isn't winning at Craps you're likely to find him playing Baccarat, Blackjack, or even Roulette. If the table games aren't working out he may even take a cigar break in the high limit slot area for a little hit-and-run action. But just like craps - you have to plan your play and play your plan. If you have a question on slots, video poker, carnival games or any table games other than craps, this is the place to post. Let's hear about the games you play when you're not playing craps! What's your game? What's your strategy? How's that working out for you? Inquiring minds want to know!

Baccarat and Roulette

Post by heavy » Sun May 31, 2020 1:55 pm

In this month's newsletter I'll be talking a bit about Baccarat and Roulette - why I like them and what I think about playing the games in the Post-Covid-19 casino world. I'll give you a little preview.

I'm a huge fan of mini-bac because I don't care for the slow pace and attendant BS of the big bac game in the high limit pit. However, mini-bac left me in the dust about ten years ago when they added two chairs in many of the casinos I play so that there are eight players crowded at the tables. Add to that the fact that I'm typically the only English speaking player at the table and every other player at the table is smoking cigarettes but they won't allow me to smoke a cigar at the table and they've essentially killed the game for me. Enter the new rules with 3 - 4 players per table. Sign me up. Yeah, I know. That $10 table will be $25 a hand. I can handle that with the low house edge at mini-bac because the game has a micro-thin house edge and is subject to streaking. I love playing the streak and following the trend and combine that strategy with some of the indicators from Baccarat Battle Plan to do very well at it. At at $25 - $50 a hand it doesn't take much of a streak to put you up $300 - $500, which is good enough for me since I have a modest win objective and rock solid loss limit per session.

Next is roulette. Yes, I'm on a quest for a single zero wheel if I can find one. They're rare but they're out there and the table limits are going to be higher. But find one and the odds are good that you'll walk away with a win. Even if the best you can come up with is a double zero wheel, if you're a savvy player and can spot a dealer's signature or a biased wheel you can rack up significant profits over a short haul. Can't succeed there? Even those electronic "air ball" roulette machines are beatable once you understand that that beautiful wheel and spinning ball are no different than that wheel of fortune slot machine wheel. It's all show, folks. The computer has decided the winning number as soon as the ball is launched. And like any slot machines, those decisions are based on an algorithm that results in repeating patterns that one can pick up on if you observe the machine and track results long enough. When playing these machines I play my old 67% strategy while tracking results. Then when I pick up on a pattern I play a specific pattern covering the spread of that pattern, looking for a hit. You'd be stunned at how successful this play can be.

The best part of playing baccarat and roulette? For an old fart like me it's a place to take a break from craps, sit down, have a free drink, enjoy a little "recreational" gambling while turning a small profit and resting my feet up for another craps session. In my mind, that's hard to beat.

The most overlooked REALITY of
Mini-Bac and Roulette
is, in my experience that especially related to the actual length
of an Eight, Deck Shoe is by THE HOUSE RULES rules in limiting the game.

The low number of hands could show a low as few as 60 something HANDS
The High number of HANDS may extent to as many as into the Seventies
seems hands running into the 80 something are WAY RARE if not even possible.

The players most often to exist in the RARAFIED Lifetime Winners Circle
seem to have the "Hit & Git" in and BY-Ya GAME PLAN...

Factually The STRONGEST PLAYERS are those gambling only THE Wisest Wagers.

Given a choice: Would you rather
CHERRY Pick and WIN SIGNIFICANT $$$ on FAVORABLE WAGERS
or
go by volume and DONATE YOUR $$$$$$$$$$ the casino's bottom line
with some worn out and suspicious BARF EATS complementary booby prize?

The H man's Mini Bac & Roulette Home Study's
are an INVESTMENT In My Experience.

just me saying

I play on European wheels but there online. I’ve gone on a few winnng streaks playing sectors but it’s not a long term way to play the game, however I think it gives you the best shot of any game in the short run.

Heavy,
Have you noticed on the auto wheel roulette tables, the ball goes clockwise one roll and counter clockwise the next. Should I be recording each direction on a separate card?

I have won playing both ways. Combining the spins together and playing each direction the ball is spun separately. Dealers will get into rhythms were they go back and forth between two sectors.

Personally, I don't track clockwise versus counterclockwise. I'm strictly looking for dealer signatures, wheel bias or just plain old clumps. I really don't care what causes the clumps as long as they are there. Note that THREE times over the course of last weekend I pointed out to students at the June Jam that I should be playing Roulette - when the wheel toke board was either completely black or completely red except for maybe one opposite color in the mix. We're talking streaks of twelve to thirteen blacks or red in a row. Just playing a simple Paroli with a streak like that could clean up.

Dealers do hit the same sectors multiple times but It doesn't happen enough times over multiple dealers and sessions to win long term. However I find that dealers will get into rhythms for a couple spins, where they will hit a sector and either hit that sector again or the previous numbers sector or the opposite side of the wheel from the previous number. It's all dependent on the dealer having somewhat of a consistent release of the ball if they hold the ball before release or pick up the ball and let it go on a different part of the wheel then where the previous number was then your results are random. I've just started playing this way and in 5 hours I've won just under $11,000 of course it helps that I won about $6000 of that on one dealer, this dealer was crushing it and I haven't really worked out a any kind press schedule so I missed out on a much bigger payday.

What is the play? only play either black/red or sets of 12 on the board? Or, do you try to track the sector and take single point shots in that sector for a big hit?
