Repeater bet odds and table layout

Setting and influencing the dice roll is just part of the picture. To beat the dice you have to know how to bet the dice. Whether you call it a "system," a "strategy," or just a way to play - this is the place to discuss it.

Repeater bet odds and table layout

Post by 220Inside » Sat Apr 10, 2021 11:17 am

I'm finally biting the bullet and getting a full sized table. It's being built by American Table Games.

I'm working on the layout details with them. I'm getting ATS, Fire and Repeater bets and printing odds on all the bets. I was really surprised in the layout samples that were sent that either used a mix of "FOR 1" and "TO 1" odds on the layout (which would send my OCD into overdrive) or had the wrong usage of for 1 and to 1 odds.

For the repeater bets, all of the layouts I've seen for them use FOR 1 odds but I think get them wrong. Are the payouts on the repeater typically TO 1? For example, for 2/12 are the payouts generally 40 TO 1 or 40 FOR 1? I thought it was 40 TO 1, but I run into the repeater so infrequently I can't remember for sure.

40 TO 1 or 40 FOR 1?

i have never been on table with the repeater bet but the few places i have read said 40 for 1. i know you are anxious to get your table. Be sure to get it exactly like you want it. I know you have put plenty of thought into it. Be sure and post layout pic when you nail it down. i would have already built a 12ft one but when covid stopped my play i have been putting it off. Now material cost have gone up so much no sure i want to invest the labor to build one. Might be worth it to just buy one.

I've never really paid that much attention to it either. Wizard of Odds has it listed on his site as "for" 1. The payout table he shows is:

2: 40 for 1
3: 50 for 1
4: 65 for 1
5: 80 for 1
6: 90 for 1
8: 90 for 1
9: 80 for 1
10: 65 for 1
11: 50 for 1
12: 40 for 1

Please please post photos when you set your new table up. This is some exciting stuff.

I sure will. I should be getting back the first iteration of the layout in the next day or two. The completed table build and delivery is still a couple of weeks out. And of course the setup and that first toss on it!
