Negative vig

Setting and influencing the dice roll is just part of the picture. To beat the dice you have to know how to bet the dice. Whether you call it a "system," a "strategy," or just a way to play - this is the place to discuss it.

Negative vig

I have a system wherein some players can place bets with a negative vig. That means that if you bet $10, for example, the casino will pay you a dollar in addition to the fair payout.

To receive the system by email, send .001 bitcoin to... ha ha, just kidding.

Let’s say you bet $5 on the four. It hits so you pay the $1 vig and press it to $10. If that bet wins, your vig is $2. If you bet $20, though, your vig is only $1 when it hits (at most Las Vegas casinos). The vig on that extra $10 is -$1. If you place the four for $15 it’s even more extreme. The $5 you add to your bet to make it right earns $2 extra every time the number hits.

So I would assert that betting between $6 and $19 on the four or ten is a “wrong bet”, like betting $10 on the 6, or taking $15 odds on the 5.

I acknowledge that they are risky numbers to put more money on, but if the casino is paying you to bet it...

In another thread, Heavy is discussing press strategies for pressing the 5&9. The vig on a $15 #5 is $1.50? But if you bet $20 (in Mississippi and most Albuquerque casinos) the vig is $1. For most places I've played, the vig goes up to $2 above that. So at $30 the vig is $2, then also at $40, so at least you're not paying extra for that one.
