Re: How to protect an early trip win?

Heavy, All points for not wanting a check or trusting our mail services for me. Cash is king for me. When I was a young man, an older well-off family friend always had a huge wad of folding money in his front pocket. He would tell me and my brothers, "boys, if you got this knot in your pocket, ...

Re: How to protect an early trip win?

Some folks would think "oh give me a nice big early win" and I will show you how to protect it. Like most things in life - easier said than done because of the various reasons we gamble. For me the experience of playing craps in a casino and winning some meaningful money by utilizing DI sk...

Re: $100 comp chip

I saw a craps play in Tunica make this play. He saved a years worth of comp chips ($100 chips). He had accumulated $4,500. He made a DP bet with comp chips and a $4,500 bet with real chips. His friend threw a four on the come out and made the point. Take the don'ts and pay the pass line. S4,500 win ...

Re: The $25 Table

I enjoy shooting the dice. I generally find a low population of players on $25 tables. That allows me to get the dice back quicker and potentially find a shot that will produce box numbers. If I am playing on a $5 or $10 table, I get physically tired waiting for the dice to make there way back to me...

Are there markers that indicate a hot hand in progress?

A few indicators that I have noticed that a hot hand is happening are: Dice go off table, drink server ask shooter if he/she wants a drink, slow payouts, shooter make their point and 7 shows up on the come out roll and then disappears - shooter continues to roll box numbers. Of course generally spea...

Soberring information. If we can fight the need to be in action, obviously less risk with one and down on a choppy table.

Re: Rappin' Captain's Exponential Betting

House of Orange,

The group that played with RC has dispersed for the most part. Some have passed away, others have stop playing craps, and some of us (me and a few others) get together occasionally to play together.

Re: Rappin' Captain's Exponential Betting

Scout & House of Orange, In my opinion, RC 's success was weighted more toward two factors: 1.) DI skills RC and other players have that played with him - generally someone would "be on" and have a long hand with a lot of repeating numbers. RC paid bonuses for any DI that had a hand th...

Re: Rappin' Captain's Exponential Betting

When I am playing RC's EB, I will play the following strategy: If I am fortunate to be in a hand where I have covered all of the box numbers and one or two the box numbers are repeating and the others numbers are not repeating - I will reduce the odds on the non-performing box numbers and press the ...

Re: Rappin' Captain's Exponential Betting

Scout, You are right - RC played many levels. RC played his level 10 exclusively as his health declined and in the last year of his life. Level 10 started with odds of $250 on the 6 and 8, and $200 on the outside numbers. He would press winning bets $100, $200, $300, etc. He had his biggest wins in ...

Re: Rappin' Captain's Exponential Betting

RC would continue to press his odds to the bitter end. Once he maxed his odds bets on his flat come bets, he raised his flat bets so he could continue to increase his odds portion. As to my play, when I have my bets pressed up and a hand has gone on for an extended time, I look at all the money I ha...

Re: Rappin' Captain's Exponential Betting

Heavy - RC never varied his method of play. Once he covered four box numbers with come bets - he always worked his odds on the come out. I have watched RC press his odds up to $1,000's of dollars - work on the come out and get knocked off with a seven. I asked him why he would expose his hard earned...

Re: Rappin' Captain's Exponential Betting

As we all know, timing is everything in this game. If you catch a long drought in this game with your shooting and betting going against you, then without a major bankroll or even with one, you will most likely be sitting on the sidelines when hearing about that monster hand. Very hard on your belie...

Re: Rappin' Captain's Exponential Betting

Heavy, I agree 100% with your assessment of volatility swings. None of know how long and when the dice will change the pattern or direction they are trending to. We have all seen a players committed in one direction of play come hell or high water and either go in the hole too deep or go completely ...

Re: Rappin' Captain's Exponential Betting

I was one of the regular players that played with RC and Judy for a number of years. One of the pros of the Rappin' Captain's betting system was waiting for two box numbers before populating the odds portions therefore he saved money on PSO's One of the cons was if a shooter rolled each of the box n...

Re: Do any of you hedge the ATS bet if you are the shooter?

I always hedge the one box number left on the all small or all tall and certainly on the all bet. Taking advantage of a guaranteed win in a casino makes sense to me. When I am shooting and playing the bonus bets, I always start my hand with inline sixes to hopefully hit the craps numbers early. I ha...

Re: How many rolls . . .

When I am the shooter, I use two indicators. The first one is when my toss is starting to become erratic and random on too many tosses. The other one is when I am reaching my high number of average rolls of past experiences of being in the zone. In other words, when my concentration is melting and I...

Re: How Much To Press?

Americraps I played a lot with the Rapping Captain over the last five years before we lost him. One of the reasons exponential betting worked so well for the Captain was his ability to toss greater than average long repeating numbers hands. Because of his ability and those who he played with to have...

Re: betting strategies

Bobbylee As to your questions: 1. The 6/8 did not change his betting 2. He was a strong DI - he told me why fight the easiest number to throw - 7 3. He played SR1, shot right handed, with a grip that Americraps uses - dice resting on top of the side of his right index finger with his thumb on the to...
