Even Number Regression Strategy

As we look forward to the Albuquerque Craps Clinic next month I'm starting to get a few questions about betting strategies to attack the Albuquerque area games (specifically to capitalize on the Free Buy bets on the four and ten - and the lowest vig place bets, the six and eight). With that in mind, here you go . . .
Ten dollar game - 10X odds
$10 Pass Line
Let's assume the 9 is the point. Take 4X odds.
Place $110 Even. That's $30 each on the six and eight and $25 buy bets (free) on the four and ten.
We're going to assume you have good control on the standard dice sets and use the V-2 mutant with sixes and eights showing. For those of you who are dice challenged, you'll have the six up and thet two facing you on the left die and the two up and the four facing you on the left die. We're going to try to toss fours, sixes, eights, and tens. Those fours and tens will be single face pitch results, along with the fives and nines. A primary hit will score you a Place bet win. Lots of opportunities to win here.
On this play we're looking for one of three things to happen:
1. Make your pass on the five. If this happens you re-boot and start the whole process over again.
2. Score two hits on the six or eight. At this point you will have won $70, and can regress your total Place/Buy action to $44 even numbers.
3. Score one hit on the four or ten. At this point you will have won $50 and can regress your total Place/Buy action to $44 even number.
Of course, you may end up with a combination of the above, but that's okay. Your Pass line with odds win will kick off $70. You can continue to play your next hand at the same level or go ahead and implement that even number regression to $44.
You may end up tossing a six, then a ten, scoring a total of $85 in wins. Once again, you can regress to $44 even. Of course, if you've won that much you might want to consider a regression so $66 even numbers (three units on the four, six, eight, and ten). You'll still have a profit locked up with an opportunity wto win even more.
Let's assume you regress to $44 even and run through a little progression. I want to accomplish a couple of different things here. I want to do a slow press on my six and eight, pressing the number that rolls by one unit on every hit. But I want to maximize my opportunity for a big win on the four and ten, so I'll press them aggressively.
Let's say the six rolls - it pays $14 - say "up a unit" and press it to $18 while locking up $8. On the next hit on the six you collect $21 and say "same bet." On the next hit on the six you'll collect $15 and press $6 to $24. On the hit after that you'll collect $28 and say "same bet." My suggestion is that you cap your press moves on the six and eight at the $42 level initially, collecting "$50 for $1" until you've accumulated a nice stack of green. If the hand continues you can go from $60 to $90 to $120 etc.
Now let's get aggressive on the four and ten. If the ten rolls the dealer will cut out $20. Let's "make the ten look like $30." On the next hit the dealer will pay you $60. I'll give you a couple of choices here. One is to tell the dealer to press it to $75 and lock up $15. The other option is to drop $10 on the pay-off and push it back to the dealer, instructing him to "take it to $100." We're just looking for a couple of more hits before we're in full take mode. The next hit pays $200. Press to $250 and lock up $50. If you score another hit you'll press to $500 and lock up $250. Most of the Albuqueque casinos are going to max bet you at $500, so now you're stuck collecting $1000 on every ten you throw. Tough to be you, huh?
Is this play for everyone? Hell no. But could you potentially get there on the right hand? Absolutely. Been there - done that. Just remember - pay for your action with an early regression and a steady stream of sixes and eights. Profit from the four and ten. Rocket science it ain't.
