The above is my current play . My plans as of right now is to use this play for the next few months, possibly until Oct 2019. Of course that is subject to change.

I still parlay any craps win. What hurt on my 16 unit loss session was not winning any of the craps parlays and there were probably 5 or 6 opportunities. as they say in basketball, "you live by the three , you die by the three".

Even though a $400 loss is huge, at least for me ; it is still less than 4% of my total gambling bankroll.

Day 2 in Las Vegas , we walked over to Planet Hollywood to pick up a couple of Lionel Richey tickets---naww , he ain`t Bob Dylan ---but CET gave us tickets and my wife said we were going whether I liked it or not.

After eating breakfast at the Hollywood Café at PH, my young wife went over to Bellagio to use up her last $200 of free play which MGM had given her. I walked on down to MGM Grand , just to look around. I thought about walking to Mandalay Bay but decided to walk over the new to me walkway from Excaliber to NYNY and then through NYNY to MGM Park and on to Aria, through Vdara into Bellagio and back to Caesars Palace where I found a spot at the craps table where I played a 1hour and 45 minute session ,winning 9 units ($225).

I then walked over to Mirage where I went into Rhumbar and had another Rum and smoked a My Father`s LeBijou cigar which was close to a 2 hour smoke. After playing at Mirage for2 hours and 30 minutes, I left with an 11 unit win ($275) and walked over to CP where I was surprised to hear Gail say," Let`s just get a sandwich at the Forum Food Court. " We had an Earl of Sandwich and boy was it good." I usually call it quits after dinner but decided to play a session at CP before going to bed.

Gail told me while playing her last $200 in free play at Bellagio that she cashed out $1200---- No jackpot . She has hit jackpots on our previous two trips in Las Vegas while at Bellagio.

I played craps for 1 hour and 53 minutes and had a 16 unit win ($400). It seemed like every craps win that I parlayed (Cowtipped) won. I thought it funny that my best and worst sessions were equal amounts.

The next morning our last full day in Las Vegas , we had early lunch reservations at Hell`s Kitchen which was good and kind of a fun place. Gail enjoyed it . I just thought it was another overpriced Las Vegas joint , but I would go there again.

I walked over to Mirage and played a 2 hour session losing 5 units ($125). Stopped at Rhumbar and had a Short Story cigar and a Macallan12, then walked over to CP where I played a 2 hour and 9 minute session losing 2 units ($50). Then hurriedly up to the room to get ready for Dinner at Lago1s at Bellagio which is kind of a high-classed joint but good , expensive food on small plated . From there we hustled to Planet Hollywood to see Lionel Rickey who put on a good, interesting show. Gail said, "See what you have missed listening to only Bob Dylan for the last 50 + years?"

My reply in my best Arkansas vernacular was , " He definitely ain`t no Bob Dylan!!!!!!!!"

Up the next morning , I walked over and through Wynn and Encore, just because I haven`t seen it in a while and after some fried rice at Tiger wok at the food Court at CP , we checked out and flew home. It was a fun trip, like always in Las Vegas . I have a hard time getting out of Arkansas, Tennessee and Miss-sipp-pee.

Hey DF, Nice wins, thanks for a good TR snuck into Sam Grafstein's topic! I am glad you came out ahead at Caesars Palace. I find those tables just a tad too hard. From SO, I toss too many over and off the table...embarrassing. Thank you for the food reviews too. I have never tried Hell's Kitchen or Lago so it is nice to hear something about them. I do like the Earl of Sandwich. They have one over near the Sports Bar at Planet Hollywood. I like to grab one and eat lunch at the Video Poker machine with a few beers. Next time you are in Las Vegas, try the Monte Cristo bar in Caesars. They have a really impressive walk in humidor with a righteous choice of overprices but yummy cigars. The bar has some great whiskeys including a number of ryes, bourbons, and single malts. It is worthy for a relaxing moment. Leather couches and great TVs make it a nice sports afternoon burning stogies.

Lastly, man I agree with you about Lionel Richie vs Bob Dylan. Still, we always do what our wives want to do. It don't pay to yank the harness a different direction for certain.

Perhaps we will cross paths in Las Vegas someday. I go there quarterly on business and try to improve my tosses in real time and my profits too if possible.

skasower.

Well, before the trip , I had planned on Having a drink and cigar at the Rhumbar every afternoon and then after dinner having a cigar and a drink at the Montecristo since we were staying at Caesars Palace . However this trip , I played Craps after dinner on Mon. and Tues nights and was ready to call it a night. Wed. night it was late when we got out of the concert so I just never made it into the Montecristo.

On our previous trip in Dec., I visited The Montecristo three times.

Well done, DF! Great reports! You stuck with your strategy alteration to play two units with a DP/DC versus the playbook's stacking a win when down to one unit (we covered this question earlier in the thread) ?

Yes to that question, flextime.

DF- are you taking your punches on the DP or starting out on the DC?

I start out on the DP and then try and get 2 DCs established .

Good luck, DF! I think you'd get a kick out of shooting from the don't. Follow the same rules: if you throw a C/O loser, pass 'em. If you throw a point, pass 'em. Set the 2-V until you get three points established, then go with a sevens set based on the point. Shoot from the deck and focus on the throwing angle and landing spot. Adopt the throwing advice you've read here. Just give it a try. What's the worst that could happen? Could you be any worse than Randy?

I've felt enough looks to switch things around when I hit my point, so I shoot a doey-don't for the table. While doing that, I recently hit 'the all' in East St Louis and jumped in the air, "YES!". Dealer reminded me, "You don't have any money on it." I said, "Yeah, I know, but somebody did." Has it cost me shooting the doey-don't when boxcars rolled? Yep. I replaced and kept rolling. Have I been tipped while shooting for the table? Yep, so it evened out.

Just think about it. You got to be curious. :)

No, I made a promise one night on a drive home up HWY 61 that I would never shoot dice again.

Now the rovin' gambler he was very bored
Tryin' to create a next world war
He found a promoter who nearly fell off the floor
He said "I never engaged in this kind of thing before
But yes I think it can be very easily done
We’ll just put some bleachers out in the sun
And have it on Highway 61"

Never swear to misery or fun, when your bombing down on Highway 61!

Hey DF-- how's the Pension Plan going?

I'm curious. Are there casino settings which give you the gut feeling you're walking into a hot table buzz-saw and you play anyway because your left brain says it makes no difference to the dice? Are there situations you just know you're going to get your ass kicked? And on the flip side, are there situations which look like the right spot to play dark? I know anything can happen in any given session, anywhere, anytime, but having played enough times, doesn't it seem like you just know beforehand?

Example: Tunica Horseshoe Saturday night. Death to the dark side. It just doesn't work. Something about the energy.
Rising Star Casino Saturday night. Buzz-saw on the don't.
East St Louis Casino Queen Sunday morning. Cha-ching.

It's not scientific, but seems as right as 'See a horn, bet a horn' more often than not. Do you have the same silly notions?

I just believe that anything can happen at a craps table at any time ----good and bad. When I first started gambling with a very, too small bankroll , I watched tables for long periods of time to make a $5 wager and would leave the table while I was ahead a unit or two. My goal at the time was to build up a gambling bankroll to $3000 by the time I retired . I felt that with a gambling bankroll devoted to nothing but gambling ,that I would have enough gambling bankroll for the rest of my life. Of course years have passed , I have retired and I am still going to casinos, which may be my largest feat ever , since in 2000, I walked into a casino and played for the first time , really because my wife insisted , and I told her ,"As soon as this $100 is gone , never ask me to go to a casino again!"

Every time I buy in at a table , I feel like I am walking into a hot table buzz-saw. I always think that I am going to get smashed, even when a dealer tells me after they see my Don't wager that the table has been cold. I never look anymore for the right time to play the darkside because I always play the Darkside ,since I promised myself one night on a drive home up Highway 61 ,that I would never make a rightside wager or shoot the dice , ever again.

I do realize that I am just a stupid craps player with no brain -left side or right side- and just silly notions , playing a negative expectation game with only patience and discipline.

Flextime , for the months of October and November I played a $25 Pensioners play for about 40 hours and ended with a 12 unit loss ($300).

For the month of December which will be a slow casino month and for January, I shall play on $5 and $10 tables laying $48 odds no matter what the established point number. The odds may go up to $54 or down to $$42, depending on fluctuation of bankroll. My loss limit is between 3% and 4% of my Total Gambling Bankroll.

On $25 tables ,I shall probably just use single odds.

I have not done your play on $25 table yet, but intend to do so next time I encounter one. I lay more on the don't side on $10 tables. What the heck is the difference as Heavy has pointed out. I was in Vegas a few months back and Paris had only $25 tables on the weekend..and I was frustrated. I just never thought about just playing the don'ts. Duh.

I haven't tried the pensioner's play yet. But this thread got me to thinking, since my first hand (normaly) sucks, why not go to the don't. I usualy bet the DP and the pass line, so I can shoot for free. I have tried this in pratice games, and it does what I want, until today,(LOL). PL/DP, once the point is made place the 6 & 8, lay odds to cover what is placed, one hit and down on both placed and odds, see if the hand has some legs. I like to shoot the dice, not bet on other people, the crap between my ears gets in the way, trying to find a way, other than not bet, to lose as little as possilbe until I get the dice.
I was surprised at how well it worked, unitl today. first time I have lost in ten sessions.

Raider-- you lost too many times when a shooter made point before a hit on the 6 (losing odds covering the 6 when point not a 6)? Were a few C/O boxcars thrown to further the beat-down? Shooting 'for free' tends to bring the boxcars whenever I do it (e.g. I shoot from the DP, make point, table cheers; I elect to shoot for the table and play doey-dont; dial a boxcar LOL).

Do you like this method better than OHCM? If you don't know it, search this site for OHCM. It's been frequently discussed.

to date I have only used this on myself, at home, on the first few hands. that dial in phase. And that is what happend, hit the Point, not a six though, and left the place bets up, no DP odds on the second point, PSO. I put 2 bucks into the coin jar when I run a pratice game and never take any winnings out of the coin jar. when I started trying this I left the winnings in the chip rail. Started with 200, the highest its been was 989, right now 815. this morning I tried the pensioner's play, it worked well too, Odds on the DP to cover the DC, full odds on that, then a second DC, full odds, down on the DP odds, ( don;t know why) two rolls later Seven out.
Like I said, my first two hands suck, got the thought to play the don't on them, seems to be working. if I start getting hands beyond 7

got to love the zig zag of this game, thats why I do the PL/DP at the start, its great when I don't lose on a craps, sucks when I don't win on a nature.
