Brief Roulette Session

This afternoon I took a little break from the road trip and wandered into Lakeside Casino just south of Des Moines, Iowa. Lo and behold, I discovered one of those air-ball roulette machines I've been telling you about. Walked up and looked at the toke board and immediately picked out a dominant section on the wheel. 25-10-27-00-1 were the numbers to play according to the Xploitation Roulette Strategy that DiceTrakkr and I have been developing. Once a dominant sector is identified you play five numbers for seven spins. I fed the machine two twenties and quickly played a dollar a slot on those numbers. The machine launched the ball. Round and round and round. Then it took a weird bounce off one of the diamond deflectors and dropped directly into the 00 slot. $35 win. Bets down. Cash out. Plus $31,

Wandered down to the high limit area and said goodbye to a quick $60. Got my $40 change back at the cage. "How do you want that $40?" the gal asked. "In hundreds," I replied. She was not amused.

Walking back across the casino I decided to take a second look at the machine. Again, the dominant sector was obvious. It was no longer the 25 - 1 sector I'd played before. Now the hot numbers were 23-4-16-33-21. I put my cage-fresh twenties in the machine and quickly set up the bets. The ball launched. Round and round it rolled. Then it took a dive for the trays, bounced around a bit and settled in to 16 - dead center of my sector. $35 win. Bets down. Cash out. Plus another $31. Head for the door.

Exciting 20 minute session (Let's face it. The main reason I stopped was because I needed a restroom break). Plus $2. Better than a pay toilet. Yeah, I know. Most of you guys are too young to remember those.

Heading over to Prairie Meadows this evening. We'll see what the future holds.

No, the bride and I are heading up to visit her mother, who is in a Memory Care facility near my brother-in-law's digs. We moved her up to Wisconsin right after my father in law passed away because we were not satisfied with the available care facilities in East Texas. We'll get there tomorrow and spend a week there before heading back toward Texas next Sunday. I anticipate getting casino play in up at Turtle Lake, Wisconsin, at Waterloo, Iowa, and down in Kansas City on the way home.

Tonights adventures at Prairie Meadows were nothing particularly exciting. I won $95 playing craps for an hour or so, then blew through it and $5 more in the high limit slots. Down $5 for the evening. I guess that's not bad on a freaking Friday night in Des Moines.

Getting paid to use the restroom? Sounds good to me. We still have plenty of pay toilets over here. Most notably and most annoyingly at central London train stations where it now costs 30 pence to spend a penny. In Europe it is much more common place and in many countries you still have to pay to use the restroom in a restaurant or cafe.

Do you bring your own toilet paper? Traveling in Spain and parts of France..and the airports. Have to remember to include that roll in the bag. People actually steal that stuff!

You are probably the last guy who wants to hear this, but in response to this problem I'd simply say "welcome to socialism." The farther to the left a country swings the more difficult it becomes to wipe your ass. Hence the popularity of the bidet in Europe.
