Intel or Knowing The Joint
Even casinos with 24/7/365 open for business craps tables exhibit a traffic flow specific
to that specific casino as to time of day and / or day of week....The casino markets with
multiple casinos from which to choose (Las Vegas ,Atlantic City,Tunica, Mississippi Gulf Coast)
may have fluid conditions in the size of the crowds to the number of available tables available and
open with choice of table position..........
Smaller markets offer fewer choices in choice of casino or number of tables.
Many casinos in small markets are open only a few hours in the evening.
My first choice is a place with lightly to moderate crowd conditions.
I am generally less comfortable when it is
elbow to elbow jammed up overcrowded or near ghost town too unpopulated.
To generalize, my impression is :
Mid to late morning-- thinly populated
Lunch time---- busy hit and move on crowd
Mid afternoon ----- Tourists ,retired and job escapees,(playing hooky)
4:00 P M- 5:30 PM ---Tourists,end of day job
6:00 P M-9:30 PM---- mixture of above
11:00 PM- 6:00 A M---- DEGENERATES,desperate,left over drunks, &
