SIA, I am of the opinion that hedges should only be used for landscaping purposes---which reminds me , as soon as I get over this illness I have had the last few days, I have about 17 Eleagnus fruitlandi to plant at work.

Dylan

So if you have a new shooter and he rolls a comeout 7, you will take the loss and wait till the next shooter has the dice? Only one loss per shooter?

jjjjj, yes that is right. It is not unusual for natural losses on the comeout in droves. Some sessions it seems that every shooter tosses a comeout natural. I sometimes lose at such a quick pace that dealers will try to get me to switch the way I am betting. But I stick to my guns and bet the same way everytime. I do not chase numbers and I do not try to out think the dice. The dice are going to do whatever they want to do. I use to tell shooters that if they want to turn into good shooters just let me be at the table they are playing on, because I seem to be a magnet for hot tables. Everytime I play I see shooters having good and great rolls, but I am not tempted in the least to play the rightside.

I only play the way I feel comfortable playing . and that way takes equal amounts of madness ,stubbornness, patience, discipline and stupidity and I have 20% of each.

Yeah, the weakness to your system (or any dont pass system) is the "7" or "11" loss...those are relatively easy to throw versus losing on a point.....Its not uncommon for a shooter to roll 5 or 6 naturals on the comeout.....then you would be down big

That's where the Dice Doctor's old rule of never letting the same shooter beat you twice on the same turn around the table comes into play. If you're playing the Don'ts and the shooter knocks you off your DP on the come out - you're done for that shooter. Sit and wait for the next one.

DF has the discipline to wait. If a long roll develops he just watches and peeks at the cocktail waitresses when the visit the table. If a particular one is really pretty he will smile sweetly.

He is a sly darkside devil.

Hey DF, another question. So how often to you quit a session when you are in the middle of doing the cowtip, or do you always end a session after your cowtip has finally won 2 in a row? As I am running the strategy through some random rolls, my rolls that I previously created sometimes end in the middle of the sequence, when you are up to the 7th or 8th bet. I would think that you would probably end your session when your bets were low or right after a high recovery with the parlay cowtip bet.

I would rather wait until I am ahead in a series or have lost the series before leaving a table. But, I am always at the casino with Gail and she is actually the one that likes to go to casinos, so I leave whenever she is ready to go and that is sometimes ahead a little or behind a lot. Either way , I don`t worry much about it.

Our communication at casinos , is that she knows where I will be at a certain casino. Or we set a time to meet at a certain place. I am the one who is never late.

I guess , I could get into the real world and get a cell phone so that our communications could be more exact, but I prefer my phone at home that is connected to the wall by a cord.

Like I have said, "I`m from Arkansas , I ain`t proud."

A certain DI player that I know chatted last night that they won $175 using the Cowtip the other day. Max bet was $35. DylanFreake, I have expanded the Cowtip to 14 bets rather than the 8 (or was it 9) on your original plan. In the computer lab, that works out better with less bust outs. It puts the bankroll up to $770 rather than $175, but for some of us we can stomach a $770 loss every now and then. Now that your bankroll has grown, have you ever played the CowTip with a larger bankroll or do you stick to your $175 loss limit?

My loss limit is 4% of my total gambling bankroll. That is an amount that I am comfortable in using since I am a conservative player. I`m just really not much of a gambler. I used to tell folks that I was a sorry excuse for a gambler.

Looking back in the year 2011 , my largest loss was $215. My bankroll started out that year at $5502 and ended the year at $7320.

I`m surprised at the interest in cowtippin`. I came up with Cowtippin` as kind of a joke. A guy had written and performed a song , about Elred , a cowtipper. I thought the song was funny as heck , just like about 50 other people that used to post and lurk on the tunica-ms.com board. At that time we had a yearly meet usually held at Sheraton (now Roadhouse). Pete performed that song at a meet. I came up with the Cowtippin` strategy after I heard the song. Pete was a craps player at the time (Now he is mainly a poker player).

The folks on the tunica-ms board would cruise the craps tables, listening for me yellin` , "Cowtippin!!!!!!" I yelled so loud that it started embarrassing Gail who could hear me over the casinos noises. So I seldom yell COWTIPPIN anymore.

I`m now curious about when , I started Cowtippin`. I`ll dig out some old gambling journals this weekend to see . I probably strted Cowtippin` in 2005 or 2006. I know one thing , started growing a little faster when I started Cowtippin`. And I thank Pete for that.

I first heard the Cowtippin` song on July 10, 2005. I think , I had the first Cowtippin` Strategy by August or September . In October of that year I was Cowtippin` like crazy.

I played the cowtippin slot in Tunica. Are they still there DF?

No , they are no longer at GS .

Last year , I walked into Sam`s Town at Shreveport and there was a sign saying they were having a Cowtippin` promotion of some kind.

Just yesterday , I received a card from Sam`s Town Tunica saying to swipe your card during your birthday month at any kiosk to tip the Cow and see how much free slot play you win.

I guess , I will do some Cowtippin` at Sams Town in April.

I think I found the first time I used a Cowtippin` strategy at a casino . It was on September 10, 2005 at Hollywoosd in Tunica. I played foer an hour and 35 minutes winning $71. The next five sessions resulted in a loss of $195. The following sessions four sessions had a $95 win. Three more losing sessions of $101 and then ----WHAMMY!!!----22 sessions of which 16 were winners with 6 losers (+ $295).

I was happy back in those days . I just loved those little low roller , grinding strategies and I guess I still do. The good ol` days when Operator was around, runnin' into LMA when he was in Tunica on a junket out of Charlotte, cussin` the suits when they raised table limits from $5 to $10 and not grandfathering you in, chasing those coupons and free (sometimes $100 buffets) which I still do, bitching because the pit wouldn`t give you a buffet for your meager $5 play, when you had played 30 minutes, ignoring the box as you arranged the dice to get your best gripless grip and after he repeated what he was saying , telling him you are having a hard time hearing anything.(Concentration -the Zone). ----awww those were the good ol` days.

Damn , while looking back in some of my gambling journals , I found some notes I had made from Professor H`s comments about craps betting . Professor H and I never exchanged e-mails for some reason . I guess that was because , I have never sent many emails but we did exchange some private messages and I didn`t realize how much my craps play was really influenced by him until I read some of his thoughts that he shared with me about craps play.

In the first part of 2005 , I was still using Professor H`s Dont Pass Odds Progression.

Man, we need to come up with a single page of frequently used links on the forum - including links to Professor H's DP Progression.

If I ever get around to putting a book together I will do my best to immortalize both Professor H and Dylanfreake's Don't strategies. Imagine the strategy known around the world as the "Dylanfreake." It will rank right up there with the Martingale, Fibonacci, Paroli, Oscar's Grind, and all the rest of those strategies named after their creators.

DylanFreak- Do you attribute your BR growth to COWTIPPIN only, or are you including promotions/coupons as well?

DF, I made a big $21 yesterday playing the Cowtip method, if I had not extended it past 8 bets, I would have busted out, but made that 9th bet of $60 and won and parlayed to $120 and won again. Both bets were on the same shooter a come out 2 and then a 7-out on the point of 10. total bets won = 11 total lost = 18, so I was -7 on the bets, but still came out a winner. LOVE the loss progressions!
