Up with a day left?
I’m up 2k with one day left of a 3 day trip/vacation with wife in Biloxi. No monster rolls just steady. Last night I found myself pulling back a little to protect my winnings. I don’t want to give back what I have won but I’m wondering if I should go for the big win tonight. What do you all do?

Re: Up with a day left?
I just continue to play normally as I had been to that point, especially if it had been working well so far.
Re: Up with a day left?
Play your Normal Game, Each day stands on its own.
If your gonna color up, there needs to be paint on the brush.

Re: Up with a day left?
Take $1500 of that profit, seal it in an envelope and play with that other $500. That way your bankroll is also off the tables.

Hi grinder2017
Congrats on your winning . Im quite confident(with almost 100% certainty) youre not in your room thinking (?WWTD?). However, i will toss in my quick thoughts--just keep doing what you have been doing and whatever you typically do as wins/losses come and go. Though I will admit ending a trip on an uptick makes the trek home more enjoyable.
My thinking is that our win goals(and Loss limits) are all good and fine, however, we cant predict when variance will show at extreme levels.
I like to think of my buyin as my risk investment(and it is limited as it can only drop to 0, and can only do that once/its gone forever).
With that in mind , Im not in favor of limiting the upside(win goal) as it is unlimited and if I let it run can sometimes earn many times over my initial risk amount and more than swamp all the 1x buyins(losses).
My experiences suggest winning streaks seem to show in clumps(as do losing streaks), so its quite possible youre in the middle of a multi-day, multi-week winning steak. Keep up the good work /thx for taking the time to post updates.
Congrats and wishing you all the best,

this! I like Darth Nater's suggested bankroll management strategy best of all the advice given thus far.DarthNater wrote: ↑Mon Aug 23, 2021 10:52 am Take $1500 of that profit, seal it in an envelope and play with that other $500. That way your bankroll is also off the tables.

If you stash away $1,500 and dont use it the remaining day of the gambling trip, you can confidently walk away a winner. If you play conservatively with the last $500, you may be able to "grind it" into additional winnings, or you at least enjoy yourself with that $500 bankroll during your final day at the tables.

Congrats on the win so far.
Question, Was the $2,000 profit from normal play or were there some bonus wins from the ATS? That also comes into play strategy.
If you were doing the 5,5,5 on the ATS and You hit part of it a few times, congrats and continue. If it was "other' shooters the $15 can be a drain,
so maybe drop to 2,2,2 or some other type of conservative play.
I do like Darth Nater's $1500 envelope plan. You still have your normal Buyin dollars, plus the extra $500 for safety reasons.
A good plan. Let us know.
Good luck.

Re: Up with a day left?
Listen to DN. You now have an envelope of $500 to play with. You can't be hurt now. Also, you are finished when that envelope gets empty..if that happens. If you win, pack away the $500 and play with yr. winnings. It's just regression in another form.

Tgold don’t worry I’m not in the room I’m at the pool drinking bushwackers. Parson I like your play it’s worked so far. Nate I like your idea but I would feel under bankrolled with only $500 in my pocket.
Lkwd no bonus bet for me. $500 buy in $30 6/8 $20 5/9 $10 pass 2x odds. Collect press next hit collect then press press. I regressed 2 times in 2 nights. Thanks everyone I’ll let you know how it ends.

The Envelope System WORKS if you use it. A box of 100 envelopes costs about $1.79 at the office supply store. Use it like I show you and it'll save you 100 times that or more, and usually steer you toward a profit. Pay attention to what Nate said.

Re: Up with a day left?
There is alot of good advice from all those who posted above. If you go at this game hard enough long enough it usually doesnt end well for the player. Stay with whats working. Since your up you might press a little more, not regress as fast when you feel like things are going well. Just be ready to pull the plug when things go south. Most of the time when i am up and decide i am going to change my strategy or betting style and attack the game hard it usually puts me in my place. The envelope system is a great safety net (like Heavy said) if you use it!

Re: Up with a day left?
Okay here is what I did. I put $1,200 (I'm pretty disciplined) in my pocket and put the rest of the bankroll in the safe and headed down to the casino. Buy in at SL2 for 600. Start play as usual get down some before I get dice get most of it back during my throw. So I reduce my starting bets on other players to a pass line with odds and $12 6/8. By the time I get the dice back I'm down 150-200. Bet as usual when I sevened out I had $566 in the rack time to take a break and go to dinner. I was going to play after dinner but it was freezing in the casino. So I went to the room to get warmer clothes on but was so damn cold I got in the bed to warm up and that is where I stayed the rest of the night to live and fight another day. Down $34 for the day but a good trip. Thanks everyone for your thoughts. I will try to put together a short trip report within the next few days.

Good job Grinder on that last day - congrats on the trip .... was afraid those Bushwhackers might get you too involved.

Re: Up with a day left?
NIce job on managing that last day and preserving your wins.
Which casino was too cold? There were a couple that I felt were like that. Had their AC turned down to arctic levels. I think I was shivering at the Beau one day to the point where Parson even noticed and pointed it out.

I'll say it too. Terrific job on managing yr. money. On the frost bite situation..doesn't the room have a thermostat? HGC has them..or had them. I always had to adjust the thing. The hallway outside the rooms was freezing at the HardRock. Wore a sweater to get to the casino..and then had to tie it around my waist.

Re: Up with a day left?
Nick the room temp was controlled by my wife she is at the age it can't be cold enough. 22 it was the Palace, we had a storm come in that evening at dinner the outside temp probably dropped more than 20 degrees very fast. So you have the system trying to keep the casino 72 when its 93 then the outside temp drops to 70. I got to tell you I thought I may have got the COVID because I also had a slight headache, but all good I feel great. 22 I will be wearing jeans and a long sleeved shirt in the evenings in the future. Last time I stayed at the Beau I had to go up and put on long sleeves at night. Mr. Parson I'm a very experienced drinker probably scratch or maybe +2. But thanks for being concerned the Palace has complementary bottles of water out at the pool, but those Bushwackers are so good!
