What are your "turn off" signs?

Setting and influencing the dice roll is just part of the picture. To beat the dice you have to know how to bet the dice. Whether you call it a "system," a "strategy," or just a way to play - this is the place to discuss it.

There are only 3 for me:

1. Dice off the table.
2. Stick change
3. Dispute

Off for 1 roll, then back on.
The stick change/SO seems to happen a lot. (confirmation bias)

When my dice stop sitting down and are exhibiting sighs my influence is dwindling.

I've been thinking about this for sometime now. As a former DP player, I always wanted the seven out for obvious reasons LOL.

But now that I don't play it, I still look for the signs. I agree with most everyone, and I'll toss this in (based on my own observations):

Once people who haven't been pressing their numbers start doing so, the seven comes out within 1-2 rolls after the fact.

How do I know this? Because I'm generally one of those people LOL

I now press my numbers in between points, or after the point has been established.

Whenever gunfire erupts in the casino I'll turn my bets off (and duck under the table).

Seems I remember that happening in LV after a heavyweight fight. A couple of BJ tables got turned over and folks crawling around on the floor gathering up chips.

Then, in Laughlin, NV a couple of motorcycle gangs had a disagreement, a couple of dead ones there.
So my "TURN MY BETS OFF!!!! and HURRY!!! would be seeing a group of Hell's Angles, Bandidos, Mongols or such coming toward the craps table.
Your craps plan? The dice gods laughed.

I forgot one. If a player losses his false teeth and they hit the table - bets off.

A guy had a lit cigarette hanging off his lip and it flipped onto the big six as the dice were in the air heading right at it and of course they showed a six, but the stick said we don't book that bet. I just came down on all. But gunfire or puking..those two kind of hit me the wrong way.

I'm going to have to update my previous answer. Buying in and interrupting the roll is now my #1 aggravation!

I got into a verbal contest with a dude today who just dumped cash on the table WHILE the stick was pushing the dice out to me..."dice out!" The stick just pulled the dice back, right before I could grab them. A verbal contest ensued and he and the entire table went quiet after I pointed out the DEDICATED BUY-IN table not thirty feet away. I got the dice finally and you KNOW the resulting toss..."SO!" The entire table gave this dude the  eye (as I was already on a 10+ roll) and he was totally oblivious. Rant over...

Additionally, I agree with Irish on any type of delay. They go hand in hand and really break the rhythm.

S-man, as I would tell my 16 y/o daughter when she gets riled up, "Calm your nips!" Lol! She hates that.

Did that to my wife once and the daggers coming out of her eyes were fast and sharp. I think I'll do that again next year. Lol!

Calmly tell the stick to turn your bets off, take your odds down and wait and see until the adrenaline goes down and you have everything under control. Then lather, rinse and repeat.
