Betting and bone tracker results.

Setting and influencing the dice roll is just part of the picture. To beat the dice you have to know how to bet the dice. Whether you call it a "system," a "strategy," or just a way to play - this is the place to discuss it.

Betting and bone tracker results.

Post by Craps75 » Fri Sep 06, 2013 8:00 pm

When looking for your strong numbers in BT, do you look at the most numbers you hit or the highest above average numbers? The reason that I ask is the number I have thrown the most is 8, but I've still thrown two less than normal. The box number that I have the highest percentage above average on is the 4 with 11 tosses over average. The second number above average is the 11 with 8 thrown above average. I normally bet the 5 and 9 for $5 and the 6 and 9 for $12. Throwing so many 4's has me rethinking this betting strategy.

I've still thrown more 8's, 6's and 5's than 4's but I'm 5 under probable count on the 6, 2 under on the 8, and 1 under on the 9. 10 is my worst number with 12 under.

My chi squared is at .10 indicating possible influence. My SRR is not impressive at 6.42.

I was just wondering what you would bet if you had these kind of numbers.

I pulled up BT bet summary and did a little playing around with it. I usually bet $5 on the 5&9 and $12 on the 6&8. That has always turned a profit for me. If the bets get paid for then I start pressing. If I had bet this way on this book of rolls I would be down $15.00. That's the first time this has ever happened for a book of rolls for me. If I bought the 4 for $35 instead of placing the 5,6,8,&9 I would be up 1003.00!!

I hope I can keep tossing this way and turning out some fours.

The fours have kept coming!! I'm now 21 fours over random and my chi-squared test is at .01!! I've never gotten it that low.

I don't care if my SRR stays at 6.5. If I can keep turning fours out like that I'll make money. I'm happy with how things are going at the moment!!

At 500 rolls the fours still kept coming. After 500 rolls my chi squared was .00!!

The fours then took a brief vacation. I had four hands without a four rolled. Then they come back with two fours back to back. After 548 rolls I've tossed 66 fours. Thats 20 over random!! My chi squared is now .01. My SRR is 6.45 and my BSR is 4.24. Not great by any means but all those fours help. Also I've tossed 42 11's. Thats 12 above random. If I had bet the 11 at $5 every toss, I would be up $620 through the 548 rolls.

If I can keep churning out these fours I'll be ok. I just wish I knew that this would translate into live play!

Amish Dude, I do have wincraps and I have put my rolls into wincraps before for testing purposes. I haven't put this set of rolls in wincraps yet.

I know this is a loaded question but I wanted to ask. One of the discussions around here that continues to come up is about how well our home tables match casino tables.

For those of you that practice a lot at home, do your in casino numbers usually match what you roll at home, even if your home table may not exactly match the casino's table?

If I run trough a couple of books in BT and continue to have the 4 showing high above average, should that transfer over to live play? I should finish the book I'm currently on in a couple of days and I intend to start a new one with the same toss and set and see if I get similar results.

Craps75 - My home shooting right (one of ShootitAll's last earth magnet units that AlohaJohnny is now building) is pretty close to the tables I like to shoot on - nice hard surface with little bounce. I'm finally getting to the point where my home practice numbers are matching a little better to in-casino rolls. It's been a long haul for me - I get jitterty when I have actual $ on the line, but that's improving too. I'm better at ignoring more in-casino distractions too, plus I've started practicing at home with the tv on to give me a distraction or two working in the background. I find there's a LOT to distract me in-casino tho and I definitely still have work to do. I know I can tune stuff out - it just seems to be more difficult with my craps play than when my kids were little and I tuned out the normal and picked up on the trouble.

I've solved my issues with keeping my betting low (low wins but also low losses). For now that works for me until I can see enough consistency in-casino to justify bigger bets. I agree tho that if you can get the 4s and 10s coming in on the table that's a REALLY good thing. I've been practicing with different sets but need to get back to the 4 and 10 attempts myself.

Good luck (I know it's skill too - but I don't think a little luck is a bad thing either :D )

Thanks for the comments KC Lady!!

I usually don't let most distractions in the casino bother me. I do feel your pain concerning getting nervous with $$ on the line. I even get nervous with $$ on the line playing at home and that's not even real money lol. As silly as it sounds one thing I've done that's helped me is to play with much larger bets at home than I would ever attempt in casino. Once I get comfortable tossing at home seeing a large amount of chips on the felt, I don't get as nervous in casino when I have my puny bets littered across the felt.

I take Aloha johnny's rig on every over niter http://www.practicerigs.com/

I go on. It will follow me to Tunica and me and a few hook ups will use it before when we get to Tunica or go out for the evening DA maybe I should post that

Since I use penny's to count my toss's when I see X number on the felt I get nervous and 7en out.

Chips don't bother me I don't bet what I can't afford to lose
