Roulette - Topic Split off Top 20 Market Discussion

Believe it or not, craps is not the only game in the casino. Savvy players have a back-up plan for when their craps game is off. If Heavy isn't winning at Craps you're likely to find him playing Baccarat, Blackjack, or even Roulette. If the table games aren't working out he may even take a cigar break in the high limit slot area for a little hit-and-run action. But just like craps - you have to plan your play and play your plan. If you have a question on slots, video poker, carnival games or any table games other than craps, this is the place to post. Let's hear about the games you play when you're not playing craps! What's your game? What's your strategy? How's that working out for you? Inquiring minds want to know!

Roulette - Topic Split off Top 20 Market Discussion

As an aside, with regard to your comment on single zero roulette - when they do have those tables in the US, are they based on the regular US number layout, or do they follow the European model in terms of where the numbers are on the wheel?

Typically they'll follow the European layout.

This is a good time to point out why so many European players struggle with the American Wheel. Pick any number on the European wheel and vice versa. Let's go with the 3. IT's right up there to the left of the zero. Now find the number 4 on that wheel. It's to the right of the zero at about the one o'clock position.

Now look at the American wheel. See the number 3? It's on the left side of the wheel around ten o'clock. Now where's the 4? Directly across the wheel at about five o'clock. In fact, on the American wheel the next number in just about any sequence is directly across the wheel from it. 25 is right across the wheel from 26. 31 and 32 are directly across from one another. But 22 is not across from 23 . . . it's across from 21. 7 is across from 8 and 9 is across from 10, but 8 is not directly across from 9. Now I've confused you thoroughly so I'll move on.

Bill, play the outside bets over here and if the zero does come up, you only lose half your bet, so that takes the house edge down to 1.35%. Don't know how H's Xploitation caters for this difference, but it's much better for the player than the standard US double zero game.

I think the difference in wheels is a bit like driving on the other side of the road - the other one is really confusing if you are used to things a certain way. There is some consistency in layout on the Euro wheel if you look at it half v half cutting down from the zero: eastern hemisphere has all the low black and high red numbers, western has all the high black and low red numbers.

Xploitation provides you with cards that show which numbers to wager if you are looking to bet a five or seven number spread on the wheel. Let's say the dominant number showing up is the ever popular 17 on a European wheel and you want to bet a five number spread with 17 in the middle. The card directs you to bet the 2, 25, 17, 34, 6. I won't go into all of the tracking and indicators that get you to making this wager but it's not rocket science. It is worth noting that on the American wheel when betting a 5 number spread with 17 in the center you'd bet the 20, 32, 17, 5, 22. Clearly if you were using the American chart on a European wheel you'd have an issue.

Xploitation clearly works, for me , far more effectively than
whatever it is a some other players bring to the Roulette table.....
.
.....Since using the Xploitation game plan ,my Roulette winnings underwrite my craps and Black Jack play
.

The stuff works
Thank you, sir. Comments much appreciated.
