Baccarat

Believe it or not, craps is not the only game in the casino. Savvy players have a back-up plan for when their craps game is off. If Heavy isn't winning at Craps you're likely to find him playing Baccarat, Blackjack, or even Roulette. If the table games aren't working out he may even take a cigar break in the high limit slot area for a little hit-and-run action. But just like craps - you have to plan your play and play your plan. If you have a question on slots, video poker, carnival games or any table games other than craps, this is the place to post. Let's hear about the games you play when you're not playing craps! What's your game? What's your strategy? How's that working out for you? Inquiring minds want to know!

I watch the trends as well but in imho The Trend Will End. My favorite trigger is a run of 7 players. It does'nt happen very often but this trend will usually end and i will play a small progression to include 10player hands will not go to 11. Of course every time I start betting I have to wonder if this is the day it will go to 11 or more. It's the opposite for me on Banker Runs, they seem to go easily to 11-14.

Another trend i have been watching is a chop of 5. On the sixth hand i will go Same as last decision for two bets. Not as lucrative as 7P. It seem like a good bet, if such a bet exsists.

There are big billboards promoting ez all around Vegas. Red Rock has 2 tables. Gold Coast is my favorite, just because they have a lot of options.

Just found that the Station Casinos have the EZ game. I will post what I find within the next two weeks. Will be spending some time out there.

So how is the baccarat playing progressing? We were at a table over the weekend, of which I barely bet - but enjoyed watching & learning, and watched a guys betting patten (he probably had 2k when we walked up and when we left probably over 3k). He would sit out a few hands and play a few hands. Write everything down and study it. I talked to him later that day, away from the tables, and asked him about charting. He confirmed what I thought, it means nothing, except to maybe help to see an occasional streak and to slow the game down for you. We DID enjoy playing though and will probably spend more time playing. I enjoyed being able to just sit & chill & drink for extended periods of time - besides, the craps table wasnt kind to me this time, lost about $500.00.

Baccarat has become my sit down game of choice. It's been much kinder to me than the craps tables as well. The last couple of times I have played I have managed to double my buy in. I know I just got lucky but it does feel good to win occasionally.

I've been experimenting with a 3 step parlay progression. Start with a $10 bet and parlay it for two more wins. After the third win I will double my starting bet to $20. If I manage to win two more that's a decent payout for a $10 initial bet. Of course winning six hands in a row is a rare occasion.

I've spent more than a few hours at a baccarat table and have seen a few very ugly trends if you were betting and martingaling to buck a trend, I have seen a table start out banker for the first few then decisions and then the next 17 - 20 were player decisions. Stay at a table long enough and you will see all sorts of things good and bad, or just odd [the night I won something like 15 straight roulette bets because I spotted a trend of red, black, red, black, red, black, etc]. One of the casino day cruises ships used to have or advertise a mini baccarat table with no vig on the banker bet... the problem was they never ran it when I was there to bet banker till either the cruise ended, or I went broke. Its my understanding you can sometimes find a casino that does a vig free game, if you do jump on it.

Gretins All
I stumbled upon some really good (Imho) Baccarat info. If interested search "Art of Baccarat" on youtube. There are several videos, I suggest the most recent that are one month old. Some, depending on your game experience, will be irrelevant. Some are not really videos, just lectures but i found some reallly great tidbits of Baccarama.
I have had good results so far but of course time will tell.

Not recommended material for the Bacc Bashers and Math folks that know it is impossible to win at Bacc.

I also watched the youtube videos for the"NOR" approach. Spent hours figuring it out and of course without spending $600 i might be missing some important info but it has not worked out very well at all.

bored so watched this NOR thing.. the art of b was way to borring so didnt view those lol.

Nuetral Opposite Repeat - figure out the shoe and bet accordingly. seems brilliant but like anything it works great-- until it doesnt.

i like how they say its 50/50 and that basically commish is not a factor.. from there i almost stopped the video but kept going.

i would probably stop the betting if i got to +7 in a shoe

what are you testing with

In regards to the Nor i found that if you jump in and like u say "bet accordingly" for a few hands and when you lose a couple of hands go into a wait mode and see where it's going. The nor uses a "or" count which is great at identifying the trend however it seems to me the trend is ending about the time you have a good count and start betting. The shoe is constantly shifting from neutral , choppy etc. I started shoe below after the sixthhand with the otb4l and after losing two bets quit but of course hindsite if i had kept going it would have been really profitable... for awhile, lol

The author of the art of bacc doesn't have an exciting voice but if u can hang in there he has some good info even talks about some mundane topics such as not Farting at the table, lol
The vids are not exciting but he has spent tons of time sharing,he is not asking for any $$ either.

I have been testing it on live shoes and some live casino results i have laying around. This is a session from today

Image

Im recording in three separate blocks. 3,4 and 5 deep. x=player o=banker T=tie. It's a chore to record accurately, you can see the places i wrote the wrong result down and corrected. I'm still on a learning curve, I made one wrong bet ,ugh just a major brain-fart there is lots to watch and digest and if the shoe is moving along quickly it's not easy, at least for me. Myfirst bet was in the 4 deep block which is kind of mushed in below the 3deep block. There is a row of 5 banker hands in the 3rd row down in the 4deep block. MY bet was that this trend would end and I bet player on the 23rd hand.

I finished the shoe up 6 units after commission.

Hope this makes some kind of sense , will be happy to explain further if anybody is interested.

All this info is available in youtube search artofbaccarat

There is a rumor going around that Bones and al_falcons will be taking part in BacFest 2 this year in Biloxi from September 20-27. I know that it starts the same weekend as Heavy's Tunica seminar, but it anyone wants to drive south about 6 hours afterwards, we could meet you at the tables! Send one of us a PM if you would be in Biloxi during that time!

Imho, the most important chunk of info I have learned is "NEVER bet the exact same way, All the Time" Any system will eventually fail you have to be flexible and another good tidbit is to have a two or three bet "cap" Can't go chasing. I've been using the two bet cap.

Previously, one of my favorite bets 6 or more players hands would jump to Banker. Using a Martingale This did extremely well until one night 17 player hands came along and wiped out everything i had previously won and then some. Now i keep it simple i'll bet one unit that four will not go to five and that five will not go to six and stop. a two step marty It'll cost three units when it fails and keep u out of trouble. Working out quite well , for now, lol and of course don't bet every occurrence .

If anyone cares to practice or test out an Idea go to Dublinbet.com Live Baccarat , they will give you unlimited amount of play chips in increments of 1,000

Heavy's Sage Advice ....Get in Get up and Get Gone also applies to Baccarat.

Imho, you need a tool belt with several "mini systems" available.

The d'Alembert system could be in this belt.
Every system will have an Achilles Heel. Chops will get you on the Otb4l (opposite time before last) , Streaks will kill the opposite last decision. And etc...

With the d'Alembert system betting on Banker in strong Player shoe with multiple runs of Player will hurt.

If the shoe is Strong on Banker. Bet one unit on Banker, on a loss increase bet to two units on another loss go to three units, then on a win reduce to two units and another win back to one unit. Continue to bet one unit until a loss and then back to two. Up one as you lose down one on a win.
Will also do well on a choppy neutral Banker/Player shoe
If the shoe is Player strong best to get a different mini system out of the tool belt

Your goal should be to get up four or five units Don't overstay your welcome and give it back.

Get in Get Up and Get Gone.

This youtube video is broken into a five part series due to commentary by a Baccarat guru. Maybe i'm delusional but i thoroughly enjoyed watching it. It's an interview by Howard Stern with David Choe

Biloxi Baccfest 2 trip report

Scheduled attendance for this event had doubled however unfortunately two of the attendees were unable to make it, hope to see you guys next year.
Alfalcons arrived Saturday nite and we decided to hit the Hardrock, incredibly crowded. Four craps tables open Bought in at pretty empty $5 craps table thinking it was going to be a Don't Pass Paradise. Instantly , I mean Instantly down 10 units, ugh, after one hour scratched my way back to down only three units. Live band music Alarmingly loud time to go.
Sunday Morning.
After much discussion Alfalcons and I decided on the best strategy and enforce HEavys Get in Get up and Get Gone strategy. First stop Imperial Palace. After 20 minutes of play up 4 units. Not much but we are in the "Hit and Run" mode. After participating in the Ip Football Frenzy we headed off to the New and Improved Golden Nugget. Found Bacc table and quickly up 5 units time to go to the Sports-bar lounge and watch Sunday Football. Six games or so. The Saints , local Favorite , drew large crowd. Alfalcons abandoned his home-team Redskins Jersey and sported his better halfs Saints Jersey to blend in.

Bacc fest results Craps Down 6 uinits Bacc up 9 units overall up 3 units.

More to come

Weather permitting cud possibly get in some fishing in the am

Where did the week go. Fishing trip went well

Image

Bacc fest two was overall success. In the end up 6 units at Craps despite Alf's 24 hand rolls. Utilizing the "Hit and Run" at Bacc proved to be very successful up 33 units.

Think we can all agree that the Trend Will End, When, is the million dollar question. Here is a video from my friend at Art of Baccarat about ending some trends. Of course it would be great if you could ride the trend for awhile before ending.
