Progressive Don't Bet

Setting and influencing the dice roll is just part of the picture. To beat the dice you have to know how to bet the dice. Whether you call it a "system," a "strategy," or just a way to play - this is the place to discuss it.

Progressive Don't Bet

Post by stack it! » Thu Feb 14, 2019 4:57 pm

First time posting a betting angle here. Appreciate input. Like many small bankrollers I like to be engaged, but not to have exposure to my $300 - 350 bankroll. After many failures betting the pass line and come or place bet combinations, I have spent some time looking at different ways of going to the dark side. I tried it today at Casino Rama in Orillia Ontario, about an hour and a half north of my home near Toronto. They are down to one $10 table from three originally. Hope I describe my play well enough. I go 25-35-50 DON'T. No hedge on the 25 bet, if 6 or 8, I go $2 Hardway, and go Three rolls. If not hit, Place for$12, leave up the Hardway, and hope for a 7. 5/9 I go Three rolls, as with all the box numbers. If no 5/9,place the 6 and 8, for 12 each and two hits. Press if you like. Then place bets off, and place for $10. Same formula. 4/10, three rolls, 6/8 for $12 each, ONE hit press to $18, Two hits, $44 inside, and then down. The DON'T and wins cover the press, so no place. Why Three rolls? Time after time you get past the come out, place the 6/8,and 7 out. You get nothing. If the shooter is going to make the number, they are going to anyway, and you haven't moved money around for nothing. If $25 wins go 35,and $2 YO. If a win go $50 and back down to $25. Proportion the HW and place bets as you go up. Ok, come outs. If a 7, I go back down and Hop the 7. Two losses to one shooter, sit it out. Painful to watch, but DON'T needs discipline. If first bet wins whether on craps or 7 out, move up. How did I do? A table of 6 to 8 players, only saw one hot roll in two hours. Surprisingly, I rarely even got to make place bets, most rolls decided on come out or in a few rolls. I did go off of this play a bit, especially when I was shooting. But I know that I would have been better off sticking to the plan. I bought in for $300 and lost 50. Not bad, and looking forward to some tweeks.

Stack: Here is a fine thread from 2014 that has a ton of information that might be of benefit in you thinking.
You can start on page 1 but some good meat in on page 3.

Then, here is a 2 ton addition that has a craps college education: MP has slid into other ventures but for years we
enjoyed his postings. https://dicesetter.com/mp/MP_toc.htm

Your craps plan? The dice gods laughed.
