Choppy tables. What’s your trick to beat it?

Setting and influencing the dice roll is just part of the picture. To beat the dice you have to know how to bet the dice. Whether you call it a "system," a "strategy," or just a way to play - this is the place to discuss it.

Nice win even with all the black cats running under the table.

FYI : Most $1000 limit joints will let you go $1200 on the 6/8 if that would have worked for your progression. $1500 for one black never sounds bad when you get to say it. ...........

PVW Congrats on the nice win!

I would probably try a DP with single odds, and be poised to use it as insurance to go up on the 6 & 8. If I get a hit, then I pull down the lay odds, and look for another hit; or if its really choppy, I might take down the six and 8 and place the point to cancel the DP. I'd just keep grinding till someone like you catches a hand, otherwise trying to net a couple of $$ per shooter till then, D.N8r

Excellent job PVW.

On the question at hand, I think the key to winning on a choppy table is not to lose. I also think my Hard Ball Craps play is the key to doing just that. I hope to have the program finalized by the time the Tunica class rolls around.

Yes, you never know when it will change:) I have had a lot of success in the last year or so by playing for longish rolls. This goes against your "get in and get out mantra" but has worked very well for me. I have had more losing sessions, but have had numerous big wins that have more than made up for the additional losses.

Where I live, casinos are far apart so hit and run isn't really an option. I used to try and grind out a win on every session, often switching between the don't and right side, removing bets, etc and invariably I would miss the one roll that I needed.

I bet on everyone but more on myself. I play the right side only, inside or across, pay for my bets first and then generally press. If a table seems to be handing out more than it's fair share of PSOs I will wait one roll before placing my bets to increase my chances of extending the session to be on the table when a long roll happens. They don't always come but they've come often enough for me to be up pretty significantly since I started doing this. My session bank roll is enough for 20 bets and if I don't get up early and leave I will often be able to play for hours on end this way.
