Wolfbyte, aka wwwww was an interesting read. He was enthusiastic in his method of play and medical forays south of the border.
It was unfortunate that I was never able to really get an understanding of what he was doing...No matter how much I studied it.
Maybe it was the 'Neural' part...I could not get a connection.
Hope he is playing everyday in that great game in the sky.

The "Neural" was a strategy sold by Silverthorn (I think that's his name - an insurance salesman from Albuquerque if memory serves me). It's nothing more than a Fibonacci progression. The basic fibo is based on a betting progression as follows:

1 - 1 - 2 - 3 - 5 - 8 - 13 . . . where each bet is the sum of the two previous bets. It is a negative progression where you increase your base bet as you lose. When you win you "same bet" the next bet. If you win two in a row you regress to the base unit wager. The problem with the neural is that on a long streak of losers in (for example) a $10 game your bet size increases greatly after five or six losses. Just add a zero on all of the numbers above and you'll see what I mean.

I may be mis-remembering this, but I believe wwwww countered the step up to the $100 plus bets by implementing a first tier fibo with a five step bet before resetting to a second tier fibo. He set a limit of (for example) five losing bets. Again, adding a zero simulating a $10 game that would be a $50 bet lost. If that happened he would add a second tier neural and regress to something like a two unit bet and run another progression. It would look like this:

2 - 2 - 4 - 6 - 10

If you add a zero you're looking at $10 game bets. Basically he'd have to lose ten bets in a row before calling it a loss and walking down around $320 in the above example.

He also ran a "three capping" side count where he looked for three consecutive same way decisions in a game - then he's "cap: them by betting the opposite side. For example, if he saw Pass - Pass - Pass then his next bet would be Don't Pass. I think I have that right. Dylanfreake can correct me if I'm wrong because I know he looked at this strategy in some detail.

Hank's System is a Four and Ten Lay system with triggers as to when to lay them. This is all detailed above and on other threads on this forum and on the old Dice Institute board.

Heavy, Thank you for bumping this thread up to the present. What a character WWWWWW was. I read through his posts and even though I have advanced degrees in economics and quite a bit of statistics, WWWWWW lost me frequently with his humor. I understand the fibo betting progression and I think I am understanding the Capping to limit extreme losses. What confuses me is whether WWWWW was attempting to run these progressions long enough to approximate a random string of tosses or if his fibo progressions were impacted by his DI tosses. He mentions frequently that he played really late (or was that really early) such that he was the only person at the table.

Anyhow, I will re-read this thread and miss this guy WWWWWW. He is rightfully part of the craps history.

wwwww (wolfbyte) was a different breed of cat for sure. He attended a crapsfest event we did in Vegas back in the early days and kept us entertained with tales of his cheap Mexican surguries, weight loss, alien encounters, et al. That was a particularly interesting weekend because we had some other characters in attendance that weekend as well. One was a movie producer who talked to animals and ran an animal rescue operation. Another was an oscar winning sound man in Hollywood. I believe there might have been a NASA scientist and a nuclear physicist there as well - the lines between the classes blur the father removed from them (time wise) I get. I do recall that that we the weekend Dice Coach's parrot told us to "bet the nine" when we went to the casino. Nine was, in fact, the number of the weekend. Unfortunately, the bird could not forecast his own demise. About a week after that class he flew into a refrigerator door and broke his neck. The bird's ashes lie in state at Dice Coach's craps pit to this day.

Anyway, wwwww loved to run his strategies on a computer testing program that used one of those large books of (40,000 or so) rolls. Then he'd take the best plays to the casino and run them - sometimes betting $1000's of dollars on the next hand to win $10. He was also a master when it came to winning those casino prize drawings. He'd work the system for everything it was worth, gaining additional entries in the drawings by playing bonus point days, etc. There were times when they were having hourly drawings that he's win two or three times in a day. There's more than one way to beat the casino.

I was down in Biloxi last weekend for to visit my wife's grandmother. I would have loved to dust this play off, but my table awareness isn't there like it was a few years ago. I reread my post about playing the W7. That was fun I'm glad it popped up in my notifications.

Oh a trip report is in order.

Good grief! It's been a solid year since I've BUMPED a post by our late pal wwwww - aka wolfbyte - who loved nothing better than crunching a few million rolls against one of his many books of decisions, then taking his results to the casino and testing it out while racking up points and drum entries for toasters, TV's, juicers, and microwave ovens. You new guys should dive in. You won't understand half of it. That's okay. Just know that wwwww was a system man to the core.

Hi Heavy et al --good bump. Wolfbyte is still monitoring our negpro-neural-silver progressions.
He was certainly a unique individual that loved craps and testing craps strategies/was always glad to share his latest discovery.

This above 4/10 Ol Hank Blend actually has some merit and is a good read. In all likelihood this 4/10 OlHank system was much more efficient then some of his others. I recall he once proudly showed us his latest greatest system for $1--$500 online casinos---I think it was a Fibo-neural-silvThorne-84 stage negpro (that was guaranteed to backtest/sidestep all 7s) that he would run home on his lunch break and extract $50 dollars from some offshore online cas.

All the best,

Prepare yourselves for a WILD ride, boys and girls. Yes, it's the revival of WWWWW's post on Hank's DP 4/10 and his 4/10 DP System glued into the Neural System. If you don't know what any of that means - well, you've got some catching up to do. WWWWW (who has since cashed his chips in and moved on to that great system house in the sky) was an avid system player who was in love with strategies like the Star System, the Neural, and a couple of other systems sold by Silverthorne, which for the most part were slow martingale strategies based on Fibonacci progressions, occasionally tied to what he called a three capping strategy. Still confused. Welcome to the club. Just sit back and enjoy the ride.

Indeed Dr. Wolfbyte remains the master of the numbers. This is the second time I have run through this thread and my head is still spinning. They threw away the mold after WB left the room. RIP In fact there are some great persons who weighed in on this thread. Immortals all.

Always enjoy this thread even though I only understand about half of it! Good read. Thanks to those that decoded Wofbytes systems. 😀

Wonder how Wolfbytes systems would have been massaged to include the new Craps table "Feature Bets"? That would have been fun and enlightening!
