Sometimes Wrong is Wrong

Post by Golfer » Mon Dec 29, 2014 8:44 pm

I took this week off and wandered out to Joliet this am getting there before 830am, an hour after opening. The Coach and Dave were SOL playing green and black. Here comes Golfer with his red and white chips. A tough day. Dave is shooting now and after I tried from the PL and went out in 5 he shot us down with 2-3 points made and a couple of DC losers. Coach did the same. The grind was on and it was a battle. A couple of hours in I was shooting (SL2) from the DP and had a $20 flat on the DP with $30 odds for a point of 9. A grandma at SR 4 put out a field bet as I released and the dice hit her hand....and the call was 9 winner. Shit. I reload the DP and do the same thing for a point of 5. Grandma's husband or boyfriend sticks his f'ing hand out to tell the dealer he wanted a $6 6 and my dice hit his arm. 5 winner. I was livid. Coach went nuts and yelled at them, as he and Dave had just lost a lot of green and black on both winners. Not trusting myself I passed the dice, got a towel to mark my spot and took a break. After a pit stop I sat at a qtr VP machine and with 4 coins in hit 4 5's and regained some composure.

I returned to the table and it was back and forth, but leaning right. A guy who did well earlier at the lower hook gets the dice and I go with him and I make a nice recovery to up about $100. Oldtimer regular at SL1 next to me, gets the dice and lights it up for almost an hour. I limped in and slowly pressed. He ended up with 4 to the FIRE. I had $5 on it. He had $1. He hit several hardways for the table. 3 8's and 2 6's. The last two 8's I had $30 and $40 up. He needed the 4 and 9 for the Fire and he repeated 2 points. On his last comeout I hopped the 4's and 9's and he came out with a 1-3. I took $80 and down. I thought abut a lay but dislike that play with a 4 or 10. He was in such a sweet rhythm. When he 7's out I had my 6 at $120, the 8 at $90. The 9 at $35 and the 5 at $25. The 10 was bought for $50. I had the $10 PL backed by $150 and $40 on the hard 4. A touch excessive I think looking back. I got paid $125 on the Fire and slipped the shooter $75 with a thank you. He appreciated it.

I got the dice and hopped the red for $5 each hit it and set an 8, eventually making it. I then set the 10, loaded up with odds and the 4 plus the hard 4 and 10. I rolled and rolled but finally 7'd out. Color in. +$850 for the day.

Coulda woulda shoulda locked up more but I was swingin for the fences. The darkside was a disaster. Goofiest bounces seemed like they always ended up winners to take out the DP or DC bets.
For awhile the three of us were getting beat like a drum. Twice a shooter made threee in a row, like 9,9,9. Rollls like that kill your DP and your 2nd one.

Fun to successfully transition for a couple of good hands.

Sort of makes my point that you need to play both sides to stay in the game.

Will probably try a couple of sessions later in the week.

Golfer, I don`t shoot the dice and always tell the stick, "I promised my wife, I would never shoot dice."

I never switch sides, always playing the donts. As I am watching a long roll , like last weekend , and the dealer asks, "Why don`t you switch sides?"

I reply, "Because I am too stupid."

I`m glad your not stupid , Golfer.

My play is too robotic and not enough organic.

Glad you had a good day in the casinos.

LOL DF. Dave was stuck yesterday. I think stupid is too hard. Let's call it stubborn. Ride the wave. Didn't Bob Dylan have a lyric like that?

Dave has Discipline, when it works, which it does more times than not, is something to see and behold.

Definitely Luxlogs, everyone should remember Dave was banned............for winning. At the time he never shot the dice.

Went back again unexpectedly late morning. Shooting is very nice but I am leaving too much on the table. A couple of newbies whacked me at the end and I left with a win of $76. A win is a win.

Might even go again in the morning. Hit the red hopping a lot. Best was $10 each. Went to $45 each but missed. Let us know when you are close Riggs.

Bob Dylan sang, " The winners now will later be last."

A dawn patrol session at 10 minutes past opening turned out well and again was driven by the rightside. Colored up +$400. Still leaving too much on the table. The toss is dialed in and the confidence is there. Hit the reds hopping back to back two times with money on both. Should have parlayed. No Dave today, just Mr. C. One other came and for 1 1/2 hours the dice circulated nicely.

I was next to Coach playing small ball. The dont's were getting hammered for the 6 hours I was there. I just didn't have the stones to go right, so I waited the roll out.

Yes, and you're right. Coach has been on the right side a lot.
