The Official Axis Power Craps - Craps Table

For many years we've featured plans on the Axis Power Craps and Crapsfest websites that you could download to build your own craps table. Last year one of our group members, who owns a custom cabinet manufacturing facility, downloaded those plans, converted them to CNC language, made some minor adjustments to correct the depth of the bowl on the original tub plans and built his own table. Since then he's built several more, and provided me with photos of the builds - both in progress and of the finished product. I was so impressed I had one of our local members stop by his shop and check out the work - and even toss a few on the table. Suffice to say, he was impressed. So much so that I've decided to endorse his tables as the "official" Axis Power Craps Craps Table.

This particular gent's manufacturing facility builds custom cabinets for a segment of the construction trade that's suffered greatly during the Covid-19 shutdown. His goal in joining me in this project is simple. He's trying to keep is skilled tradesmen employed. Building craps tables is a way to help do that. Which gets us to where are today.

I mentioned in another announcement that we were offering completed tables for $3495 for a 10' table and $3795 for a 12' table. These are gorgeous tables, priced at or below the current market for new home craps tables. I consider them to be a fantastic value. But we wanted to take it one step farther for those of you who would like to build your own table but don't have the tools or knowledge to cut out the components, do the kerf cuts and bends to build the tub, and make it all come together. To that end we've come up with a "Kit Craps Table" you can built yourself.

The "flagship" kit will come in a 10' length that will fit in most homes. It contains all of the wooden components (unstained) pre-cut and ready to assemble - including a padded top rail. It does not include the layout, diamond rubber, or acrylic mirrors - but those items can be added for an additional fee. Many players like to order those items themselves as they find they can get them cheaper (or get layouts customized) from other sources. Note that the acrylic mirrors may be an exception as they should be custom cut to fit the table. The cost of the bare bones kit table is $1995 plus shipping from the manufacturer in Atlanta, Georgia. If you prefer to order a 12' table it runs $2195 plus shipping and handling. Please be sure you have space for a 12' table before ordering. Remember, you'll need at least two to three feet on each end of the table after you set it up, so you'll need a room with at least 17' - 18' of open floor space for a 12' table.

If you're interested in either a completed table or a kit "build it yourself" table e-mail me direct at axispowercraps@gmail.com with the Subject Line "Axis Power Craps Table" and I will put you in direct contact with the dealer where you can discuss your needs and finalize a purchase.

I'm including a graphic of the kit table below so you can see the individual components and how simple assembly is.

I have seen those tables and visited the manufacturing site. I helped take one apart and put it back together. Those tables are a great quality and they come at a bargain price. The custom layout is phenomenal. The owner is very cool and is an avid blackjack and craps player.

I am not part of the business and make no money from any sale. I just gave HEAVY feedback on what I saw from the manufacturing process to the shipping. Anyone gets one of those tables will be very happy with it.

Love the layout. Did you order that yourself or did he have his guy in Georgia do it for you?

I had him do it after i approved it of course. I like the prop bets top center ... instead of blank space. It will fun to mess with them at home some.

I really like the hash marks on the box numbers.

Looks great! What sort of bounce did you have them provide?

Well since it was a kit, i punished myself a bit. Very medium bouncy on one end, that was 1/8 felt with upside down vinyl.... im considering taking the vinyl off.

The opposite end is very bouncy. Used 1/16 scuba fabric, closed cell foam with felt over the top.

The less bouncy end is more bounce than I like, but not unlike many casinos.... my first BT toss was just over 36 on it, but im gonna consider that luck. For those that were in vegas last trip its much like the flamingo.

Without the vinyl, it reminded me of the new ballys... loud crack when landing flat.

I can take the vinyl off, but gonna toss as is for awhile and see ...

Table looks great. really like seeing the step by step pics as well keep them coming. What is the full length salt and pepper grayish material. Is it under your vinyl and under your scuba material?

It is a 12' table. On one end I put the Scuba (1/16 inch) under the gray fabric.

The Gray Fabric is a thick "Felt" material I bought at Hobby Lobby, this covers the the Scuba Cloth.

Then I placed Vinyl over the felt on the opposite end of the Scuba Cloth. (Fairly bouncy - maybe too much)

Thanks for taking the time to film and post the process. You are right the one end is pretty bouncy. If you can tame that beast you can probably play anywhere you want

Kelley runs a cabinet manufacturing company that does major jobs for national hotel chains. He started doing tables for us when the construction and remodeling of hotels business was off just so he'd have something for his guys to do to keep busy so he wouldn't have to lay anyone off. I'm not sure if they have time to work in any tables at this point or not. If you'll give me an idea of what you're looking for I'll bounce it off of him and find out for you.

The table we were most partial to for home use is a 10' table he builds that can be sent to you in "kit" form. All the parts are pre-cut. They are not stained or painted. As the old saying goes - some assembly required. But this is the most cost-efficient way to get one. You can see the photos of Parson's table when he picked it up at the shop. It all fit in the back of his pickup and the parts were unstained. He opted to go with a black finish on his, with a black and gray layout with black diamond rubber. All in all, it's a fantastic looking table, and if you watch Ed's Roll2Win videos on YouTube you can see how he tosses on it. Personally, I put a lot of value in how the dice sound when they hit and roll out on a table, and they sound right on Ed's.

Of course, you can order a fully completed table if they have time to build one out. However, since they're a cabinet maker and not a custom table manufacturer, you're limited in wood choices and stain choices. They build the tables out of whatever type of (high qualify cabinet) wood they have on hand and they stain them with whatever stain they have on hand for the current jobs they're working on. It's all furniture/cabinet grade stain and nothing bizarre or crazy - but if you wanted maple you might find that all they had was walnut or pecan - or something along those lines. Anyway, let me know if you want to check it out.

Thanks Heavy!

I was looking for a 12ft table. I have the space.

Is it pick up only?

No, he will ship and his shipping tends to be fairly reasonable compared to what other table manufacturers charge. Do you think you'd want a completed table or one of the kit jobs? I can ask him if he's got time to put one together and what the current cost would be - or if he has something in stock right now that he'd make you a price on.

Yes Heavy
Please ask him if either is available. I can put it together myself but I prefer not to. :D

Thank you!
