Golfer and I had Fun

Golfer and I met up together this morning along with Thor at the Grand Victoria. I walked in at 8:00 and saw Golfer waiting for his bacon and eggs at the Deli. I got a cup of coffee and we started to talk about how we were going to play. When the doors to the boat finally opened at 8:30, we went right for the $5 table. I bought in for $400. We had planned to get warmed up at the $5 table and when that table got filled up (They only had the one $5 table) we went to an empty $10 table. I told Golfer that for the pass month that I have had one good roll every day and the rest of my rolls were mediocre. I started off doing ok at the $5 table but when I moved to the $10 it made me nervous. I am not used to playing at that level. I went down a $100- but then started back. I was doing ok with my shooting. I was surprised to see how much my bankroll was growing. I bet mostly on Golfer, Thor and myself. I used my "Gimme and Eight" Strategy on the rest of the shooters. Which prevented me from losing all my money. I know that Golfer had to leave pretty soon so just for kicks I got on a hot roll just so he couldn't leave . At the $10 table they still have the craps for cash promotion going. I had made and covered the 4, 6, 8, 10. But I just couldn't get the 5 or 9 as a point. So I repeated the 6 once and the 8 twice. At the end of my roll I had made 7 point numbers and don't know how long I had been shooting but we made some money didn't we Golfer. Thor left before my big roll, so he missed out on it. I didn't play as aggressively as Golfer and I still made +$326 for the three hours we played altogether today. I had a ball today. It was one of the best days for me yet. I'll let Golfer and Thor tell there part of the session today.

Once again you have your big roll when I am not present. You've got to stop that! Wait for me next time. Maybe Tuesday. Nice job! Golfer, we await your tale of the day.

I Was Laughing My Ass Off

Hooked up with $5Bill today and Thor, who posts at Thom's site. Started at a $5 table when the doors opened and had a nice mini hand with 2 quick passes. Went back and forth and decided to move to an empty $10 table and settled in at SL1. Bill followed shortly and took up straight out left. I was $10 down when we got to this table. Thor joined at SR1 and we went around a couple of times. Thor couldn't get it going and had to leave. There was a newbie between Bill and me and 1 or 2 at the other end.

We went back and forth. I was down about $175 at one point but won on a decent roll by Bill. I was gonna leave soon and had a nice last hand of 3-4 passes. I was using the straight 6's on the comeout and the flying v for points.
I had used Thom's variation of the mini-v earlier but it wasn't clicking. Did so so with the traditional flying v but had a double pitch 7 out on the prior hand and used the set with the hard 6 facing me and the 1-5 on top and did well. Finished my hand up for the day at +$160. Made a couple of winning bets for the newbies hand and then Bill got the dice. What a nice hand. He just kept pumping the points and numbers. For his 1st point I had $25 in odds behind. When he 7'd out I had $200 behind, $45 on the 5 and 9, $30 on the 6 and had the hardways (6 and 8) covered for $25 or $30 with the crew up for $5 each (over $300 - ouch). I can't bitch though as I colored up a +$700 win for the day. He rolled for about 30-40 minutes I think. He couldn't get the 5 and 9 as points but kept those even number points coming. He used the flying v with the 1-6 facing him and the 2-8 downtable.

I made the heading above because I couldn't stop laughing, thinking here are 2 of the most dedicated darksiders playing the rightside like demons and kicking some ass.

When I first met Bill a few years ago he wouldn't shoot the dice. When he did try shooting it was usually from the darkside. In the last month or two he has migrated to the rightside and had a great week this week culminating in his biggest session win ever today. He took Thom and Heavy's class last year and has really developed. His greatest asset is his consistency. Same thing over and over, and today it really clicked. He did some nice moves today with regression. Starting with a $24 6 and/or 8 he would take 1 or 2 hits (mostly one) and regress. He did really well.

The darkside boys have busted out. Damn, how are we gonna explain this to Dylanfreak, Fisher and the Professor?

Roller, sorry man. It was a great day. Thor, nice to meet you. Keep at it. You might want to consider other sets.

If anyone is going to the GV you should keep an eye out for Bill. He is one helluva shooter.

Thanks for today Bill. I don't know when I can get back but if you keep rolling like this I am gonna make it soon.

Anyone want to buy a Darksider Decoder Ring? Cheap?

Congratulations. Great shooting. You Midwest Hoodlums are getting to be a pain for those casino's.
Keep up the good work.
But don't forget your roots are on the Don't Side, there are too many By - Chance shooters running around in those casino's.

Golfer: You sure about this:

He used the flying v with the 1-6 facing him and the 2-8 downtable.

Wow. I would have loved to have looked at those dice.

Nice win. You guys keep it up. SIA

Yeah you are right Shootitall, 1-5 facing him, either my fingers or brain went dark there. Probably the brain.

when I had the dice I used the straight 6's on the come out and made a $5 horn high 3 bet. I hit that one a couple of times. Then when I had the point, I set the dice with the 5/2-6/1 on the sides with the flying V looking up at me. I placed $24 6 and 8 for one hit and then down to $12 6 and 8, next hit I placed the 5 and 9. On the next hit I took it all down untill I made the point. Then I would start over again when I had the next point established. The thing is I should have been more aggressive since I was on a hot roll. I have to work on that, But I don't want to end up burning myself. I go to the boat 4 to 5 times a week and have seen to many guys lose everything going for the throat.

After I had made the 4, 6, 8, and 10, I had to try and establish the 5 and 9. So on the come out I would set the dice with the 5/2-5/2 on the sides and the 4-3 looking up. Maybe that was the mistake. Maybe I should have had the 1-4 or the 6-3 looking up at me. Well there is always this coming week to work on that.
Roller123 and I are going to make some money this Wednesday. That is the next time I can make it to the boat.

I can't forget the darkside, but for right now, I am learning the right way and making more money at it. Maybe one of these days my bankroll will get big enough to get to get me back to Las Vegas. I didn't get to see all of it last summer.

Shootitall
I wish you could have been there. I hope the next time Golfer comes out to the GV that we can get a few more guys from the board to join us.

123. I made the most of my money on the PL. I think my odds went 25, 40, 60 75 100,150, 150 and 200.

I started with 51 in and got the 5 and 9 to 45 pressing 1 or 2 untis at a time. I had regressed on the 6 to 30. At 1 time I had it to 60. I won a lot of money on the comeouts, but also pissed a lot away. On 1 sequence Bill went 7.11.11.

I had the red hopped at 5 each for the 1st hit with a 30 world. I also put up a 10 1-2 because he had been hitting it.

A lot of fun.

Great report here is what I liked the most. A few friends meet over a Craps table and have a great time.

You guys are lucky your ship doesn't set sail, my ship does and one feels like a trapped rat for the five hour cruise. I am not complaining as this is the first opportunity I have had to play Craps in three years, living in Central Florida is not all fun and games until now.
Keep them soft and straight!
