Re: A day at the races.
Variation on the theme is to look at the program and see the results for the meet to date. They will identify post positions and # of wins for each. Pick one of the top 3 and bet $5 or $10 or whatever across, sit back, enjoy your favorite cocktail and girl watch.

Re: Question for flextimeLV
Years ago we had office in Florence KY. I would drive down and play at either Hollywood or Rising. Table better at Rising but not always open. After two shutouts in a row I bagged it. Enjoyed table when open. Nice vibe to the place. Hollywood put in 16 foot barges and then we closed office. Dont' mi...

Re: Cow tipping trip report
Learning to take wins at less than optimal levels is huge. Back in the day I would watch Dave play for 15 minutes at the open, hit his target and run. At other times I would se him at the table at 4pm and he would tell me he has een there since the open and was trying to dig himself out. Targets are...

Re: Dave's System
Flex I am small potatoes. $5 to $10 flat bettor. 2-5 times odds. 2-3 dc bets after comeout. Lose 2 bets stop DC and take down odds and wait for a decision. I will bet bigger when wining to try and make a score but doesn't happen often. Dave is still playing as far as I know. However, don't think thi...

Re: Dave's System
Dave was willing to stay and risk more of his bankroll when losing. When he did that he would also at times bet bigger. I have seen him play black and green. Never lays the 4 or 10. Gets whacked twice all odds are pulled leaving only flats. Oh yeah, last time I played at his table he was shooting th...

Re: Advice..
I hedge..........when necessary. Heavy is right on saying they reduce winnings. Now if all of a sudden 11's start showing on comeouts I will hedge with a yo. Another common happening is 7's on the comeouts and then after a point set the 7 shows soon after without point made. In these cases you can h...

Re: What's the Point in Lay Betting?
I hate to say it but lay bets are better than hopping reds in the long run. Yet, when tossing well I have been known to make both.

Re: Come-out game while playing Darkside?
Betting a horn on the comeout while playing the DP offers a bit of a hedge and a chance for some turbocharge benefit if a craps shows.
Can be fun.

"Yep. I've said for years that the secret to winning is to quit when you're ahead. And if you never get ahead - stick by a firm (small) loss limit and get out of the casino before you empty your wallet." The secret. No charge for it. Simple, easy to understand. Probably the other best kno...

Re: Playing the Dark Side?
LOL. I like that one. It is fun to see newbies freak when that happens. One time after a show at the Venetian in Vegas let out, a bunch of newbies joined my table. Soon a cute hottie tossed the dice and one landed on top of all the chips in front of the box. The die showed a number, that with the di...

Re: Blackjack - The game most craps players love to hate
Just back from Reno. Shooting has deteriorated due to no practice and an out of rhythm feel. Have taken to penny slots, nickel vp and BJ pitch games to while away the time after work. The BJ (double deck) is not found too much in Illinois, if at all. For me, pitch games are the way BJ should be. Fee...

Hey DF, Congrats on the retirement. No worries. Gail will keep you between the lines. Heading to Reno Thursday for biz, one of your fav places is it not? I know it is for Irish. Staying at Harrahs on comp and paying only $10 resort fee per night plus tax. The following week I go to NOLA. Will play t...

Re: Big Al's Army March
Whatever you want. Biggest impact would be from the start but that could be expensive. My fav way to play the march is take a same bet on the 5 or 9. You could use $5 of that if you wish.

Re: Big Al's Army March
It would basically depend on when the Pit took a look. If you only have $10 on the 4 and 10 when he rated you........no big deal. However if he passed by and took a look when you have marched to a $360 8 or a $500 9, he might be interested. To generate some positive vibes you might consider capping ...

Re: Big Al's Army March
You can always modify this to your own taste. I like to get to the 6 or 8 and then take "same" bet for one or even two hits. Then if the march fails you still have something to show for the effort.

Re: Compare two strategies for a Don't player
My countermeasures are similar to Obie1's. If the 11 is showing, size a yo bet to cover. If you want to get technical, add the same amount to your flat DP. If the 7 is showing I will either hop the red for 50-100% of the flat, or size a lay bet on the inside numbers that I feel are not showing. My f...
