Re: The Craps Crew

I've seen the stick, box, floor, and shift manager all sweat the money and try to break the shooter's streak at a table in the past. But it's not in every casino and I've never seen it at the Hard Rock. New dice are dropped into the game at specific times in every casino. Typically it is at shift ch...

Re: SLOTS! Hold percentage, win percentage. Heavy?

The HOLD on a game is the percentage of the DROP that the house wins. We'll look at craps, for example. So they count the bank on the table at the beginning of the shift. They count all of the money dropped in the box over the the course of the shift. Then they count the money in the bank on the tab...

Axis Power Craps Dice Pre-Orders SOLD OUT. Watch for Next Order!

Our last Axis Power Craps Dice Pre-Order sold completely out. Once the dice arrive and are shipped we'll place a follow up order with an expected delivery time about 90 days out. I'll open up the page to pre-orders once again when delivery date on those dice gets near. Thanks to all who ordered in a...

Re: Heavy is Available for Private Lessons

For those of you who didn’t get the word – we ended up canceling the planned Massachusetts Craps Seminar this month due to what I’ll politely call “under-enrollment.” That left a huge blank spot in my calendar for June, and I didn’t have anything planned but staying out of the heat in July. Now it l...

Re: Regarding the choppy table-short leash method

Yeah, me too. Every time I drive through Canton, the town between Tyler and Forney where he and I used to meet up for our monthly BBQ lunches, I think back on all of the good times we had. Same thing when I drive to Dallas to the airport and pass through Forney. (He sometimes went by the nickname Fo...

Re: Your Iron Cross Strategy?

I'd rather bet across + horn at the $302 total bet level for two box number hits . . . Quick, without looking it up. Who among you can tell me what percentage of the time you will get two box number hits before the seven shows in a random game? I'll help you a little. 36 possible combinations of th...

Re: New ten second rule

Setting the dices shouldn't take more than 3 seconds IMHO. Maybe 4 if you get short-sticked. Set, gripped and ready to shoot in 5 seconds. Aim, focus and breath - another 4 to four seconds, then dice in the air by 8 seconds unless there's a distraction at the other end of the table.

Re: Regarding the choppy table-short leash method

Since we discuss the Choppy Table Short Leash Strategy extensively in the Advanced Betting Strategy Seminars, I thought I'd bump this old thread up where our late pal Shootitall does a little explanation of it. This is one of DarthNater's favorite plays, as he's been known to play a little CTSL freq...

Re: Your Iron Cross Strategy?

Okay guys. I thought I'd revive this Iron Cross discussion in light of some updates I've run across on how people are playing it these days. I kind of like these approaches so I thought I'd mention them. 1. First of all - ONLY play the Iron Cross on layouts that Triple the Field on the 12 (or 2 in A...

Re: What is the longest roll you have seen

That was a great trip, Bill. I had a 62 followed by a 66 at Binions that day. The guys at the table wanted to pass the dice back to me after that 62 but I needed a rest. I was happy when one guy straight out on the other end of the table whined, "But I want to shoot the dice." If looks cou...

Re: What do you think about this strategy

Most of the time i will play $110 inside on a $25 table and $96 across on a $15 table. Two to three hits and down and sometimes leave the 6 & 8 up longer unless they are not hit. I think $96 across spreads you across too many numbers for too little payback and leaves you no room for an early st...

Re: To Lay or Not to Lay - That is the Question

Here's my take. If you're playing with a small bankroll and are playing tight you probably shouldn't be playing the ATS anyway. However, if you're taking your shot AND you're on a tight bankroll, then you should Lay the last point for the same reason that I tell you to have win goals and loss limits...

Re: Intro

Yeah, the only place I ever liked to play in Detroit wasn't in Detroit. It was across the rive in Windsor. But I'd tolerate the Motor City casino. Took forever to get the dice back because of all of the finger snappers and dice schoolers, but the tables were really pretty decent.

Re: Intro

I haven't played in River Spirit for a couple of years now. Last time I was there the table was so bouncy that unless you had some pretty decent skills it was tough keeping the dice on the table. One of the slowest tables I'd played on in awhile because the pit was constantly chasing dice and we wer...

Re: To Lay or Not to Lay - That is the Question

His words, “if I liked the stock at 75 dollars a share, I love it at 50! Don’t sell buy more.” If you liked the ATS bet enough to place it when you needed 10 numbers (and we all know it is a bad high house edge bet) you should love, it when you just need one number! If they would let me, when I jus...

To Lay or Not to Lay - That is the Question

Let's say you've bet $5 - 5 - 5 on the ATS and have already hit the Tall side. You need the 5 to hit the Small and the All. You'll win an additional $150 on the 30-1 payoff on the Small and an additional $750 if you hit the ALL, so you're looking at possibly scoring another $900 by hitting that 5. D...

Re: What happened to regression strategies?

No, I never work on the Come Out because there are a LOT of players out there who set for the Sevens on the Come out - and some who "root" for the Seven, and I don't want to bet against that "psychic energy." Also, even setters who are not setting for sevens are often using dice ...

Re: What happened to regression strategies?

While playing in Biloxi this past weekend I came up with a new regression strategy that's been working well enough that I decided to pass it along. Essentially it's an inside number play that begins with $35 each on the Five and Nine, and $30 each on the Six and Eight. Initial bet is $130 inside. On...

Re: What are your Craps Knowledge Gaps

Place to Lose bets are almost non-existent on traditional tables in the US, while they are not uncommon on European tables (when you can find European tables). Roll 2 Win tables are the rare exception.
