Re: Should you expect ALL randies to have short hands and bet accordingly?

I'll bet more on myself initially since I am a known quantity. I still would not go overboard since there is still an unknown quantity, the table, the dice, position etc. How are the dice reacting on this table now? Can I get dialed in?

Re: Here's One For You . . .

Back to the All Tall Small, still stuck on getting knocked off with a come out 7. It's always been the problem I've had with the bet, getting knocked off and having to come back on the bet. Just gets too expensive very quickly.

Re: Here's One For You . . .

In some sense, that's what I do with the FireBet, and I could see betting the max on the FireBet then a Passline bet. I kinda treat it as a separate game that doesn't interfere with my regular game for the most part. What do they do on a come out 7 though, do they replace the bet? If so, how often? ...

Re: Welcome to the Dark Side

I was on a table with another player and they were playing the DP and laying the odds for a large amount, but the thing is they were also making multiple place bets. I tried asking the player about it, but they just gave some cryptic answer about it being the only edge the house gave you(said this o...

Re: Craps Etiquette for New (and oblivious) Players

I think Heavy has covered most of the issues. I have a few others even "seasoned" craps players seem to forget or don't seem to honor. Keep Track of your bets/money. When you toss your money to the dealer, make sure they make the bet you want and put it in the proper area. It's your money,...

I'm with Heavy on this, yes there is much more information/videos now available on the internet. The problem is, discerning what is the good from the bad. A lot of misinformation out there.

Re: Realistic Win Goals and Bankroll management for hobbyist dice influencers?

echoing on Heavy, Bankerdude, I think Bankerdude covered most of what I'd kinda say regarding execution. Where I'm going to differ is regarding your goals. My monetary goals will probably be similar to Heavy's, but I will settle for less. My big thing is, are you enjoying yourself? As your title sta...

Re: Alternative Buy-In Question

Couple of alternatives so you keep disruptions in the flow of the game to a minimum. 1. Buy some chips from someone else at the table. Not your full buy-in, just enough for whatever action you want to get now. 2. Toss out some money to the dealer just enough for whatever action you want. For example...

Re: Share your best win

A couple of wins do stand out in my mind. First one, after several successful wins/sessions, my last day, I was packing and going through pockets etc, I realized I still had a few matchplay coupons. Since I was already way ahead, I did not want to get sucked in and give it back. So, the plan was to ...

Re: Strategy of boxcars

I believe Heavy and I are the only ones who kinda go for the horns, though typically at least for me only on the come out roll. Generally the play would be to toss a $5 world and a $2 hi/lo. The most I can recall getting was pressing up the world up to $25, so thats like 5 horns. I believe Heavy has...

Re: $60 or $36

I may have missed it, but based on the description, this is how your betting on others, right? How do you bet when your tossing, because my betting is different when I'm tossing as opposed to betting on someone else. I actually prefer the fireboat to the all-tall-small. In some sense, it's a lot che...

Re: Heavy's 6 and 8 Place to Come Heat Seeker

I wouldn't assume better shooters are playing at higher limit tables, though for myself, if a table is crowded and I'd prefer less people I will move up to a higher limit table to thin out the herd. The other factors to consider are that, even if someone is a "better" shooter, they may be ...

Re: What are your Craps Knowledge Gaps

Anyone ever seen "Don't Place Bets"? In the USA, we'd just lay the number, but I heard either in Europe or Australia, they lay them out differently, still pays the same. Just wondering for those outside the USA if they'd encountered before

Re: Advice..

You could always just wait until after they've set the point, and just lay the number. Another possibility is if the 7's are coming that often you could lay a number on the come out, typically I would do the 4/10, some people that's just too costly. Expanding on that, depending on how adventurous yo...

Re: What should dictate when we leave a table?

Did we ever get confirmation on that table by the pool at Mandalay Bay, I never made it out to check that table out. Also, don't know about anyone else, but was never fond of the crowd at Mandalay Bay. Regarding going at different times, that's probably your best choice, if it's feasible. I recall l...

*SIGH* Just noticed this thread is years old!, oh well, my suggestions still apply I'd suggest that your other shooter and yourself have a long conversation before engaging in this. The reasons for that is, you said you were going to be using a shared bankroll. This can get problematic, especially i...

Re: Darksider's Ball - GAC?

I remember Memo and I were doing experimenting with some dark side play at a MGM property. We literally found a whole bunch of randies who knew how to play the dark and more than half of the table was on the dark. We were the friendliest group of darksiders the box/crew ever saw. We generally warned...

Congrats Bandit!

So, you were able to find a good balance between concentrating on your shooting, and a betting system that didn't cause you to get distracted?

Keep it up, remember consistency is the key

Re: Putting it together

I agree with you mssthis1. I used to joke with people that wanted to learn fast, fine, take your money to a casino and get on a game, you'll find out REALLY FAST how to play/bet etc. Technically we're talking about two topics. 1. Do you know how to bet to be profitable for you? Pretty much betting s...
