Re: Where's the Dark Side Love ??

Dn8'r I really like your detail and step by step decision making process. I know of very few people that can read the table like that. There are some (Nellie types) that have some success, however I feel it is more due to the fact that they are 'off' more than they are 'on'...To this day, I do not b...

Re: Shoot To Win-Mechanical Craps

Electronic craps is the majority of my play now. I only hit a regular table when I can catch an empty one or a near empty one with a good crew. Now that is interesting... Since I had not expected to hear that, I am very curious about what events made you go in this direction and what your overall s...

Heavy,

I have a framed picture of the 3.7k slot win in Bossier City from a few months back...
I still cannot get over the way you 'bird dogged' that machine for me.
Enjoyed the fine whiskey that followed.

Re: Shoot To Win-Mechanical Craps

Seven years could be seven days...I have yet to sit down at one and play. I do not know anyone that has. I was hoping they would just kinda fade away.

As Heavy predicted...They do not seem to have replaced any tables.
Same seems to be true with electronic BJ and Roulette.

Re: How would you handle this?

Thanks for all the replies. I definitely am not working on the come out. Losing that $900 would be a major EDE. I am kinda with Heavy and DanF on this... That 900 is the tools of the trade. Just chips, or 'bullets' to go into battle with. If loosing it is a major EDE, then bring it down to a level ...

Re: The ISR. (Intial Steep Regression)

I’m all for ISR on good table conditions. But you gotta have a plan B along with it. Can’t go on when it’s not working. It’ll kick your ass quick. It’s why I limit myself when I use it to DI’s showing numbers on their throw. Never ever on a randy. On a randy. I place the point. And work with what I...

DF,

I am just darn sad that it happened at all.
I have never been witness to such open hostility by other players. They must have been loosing a lot..
Maybe they mistook you for a conservative senator.

At any rate, you are a class act to acknowledge him the next meeting.

Hey Dave,

Good to have you back.
Lets get together and practice some, I am situated relatively close to you....If you still live in the same place,
I have a table and well equipped craps pit.

I have some issues to work on and your eye may be just what is called for.

Re: Regression Math

What matters is finding the play that works best for YOUR bankroll, YOUR risk tolerance, YOUR available time at the table, etc. Then that becomes YOUR winning play. Wear it out. Heavy, One day in a galaxy far away, I was sitting with Wizard and imbibing several adult beverages and we came up with.....

Re: Regression Math

I really like regression betting... As I first recall it, we were, at some time in the hand, through a trigger or gut feeling, regressing to minim levels and then building up again, there by getting money, off the table. Pretty simple and effective. Later, some variations of ISR, introduced a large ...

And now that we've thoroughly hijacked this thread . . . back to regressions. Heavy DnPS encouraged this thread of substantial interest. Re: Regression Math

Any time you have a discussion about the early writing by MP, one must put it into historical perspective. We as a DI community, have evolved. Even though it is true that it is the same old stuff, rehashed over and over, our focus has changed...As we matured, our expectations also became a bit more ...

Re: The ISR. (Intial Steep Regression)

I also feel odd bets like $204 across is a game stopper. I also use the ISR to bet larger in the beginning and still be around for the long hands. You do need to be bankrolled well enough to survive the periods where you get picked off. Total bankroll, not session bankroll. With 204, no matter what...

Re: The ISR. (Intial Steep Regression)

I have long been an advocate of an ISR approach. That being said...I find my self moving away from it over the last year or so...Keep that in mind. Irish points out that ISR reduces the volatility, and at the same time it reduces your profit. He knows it mathematically, I know it in my gut. One thin...

Re: The All, Small or Tall Bet

What I HAVE to remember is to turn FULL ON after the ATS payoff... I've 7'd twice on the next throw, and twice more within 5-12 throws after I've been paid for the ATS. It's always felt like my after-ATS toss was focused, but either stinky luck or no focus has 7'd me twice. The regular middle bets,...

Re: WOTCO or not?

You know, IMO now, if you are a DI with an advantage, that is NOT shooting for a CO7 or Horn, it is a bit ridiculous to NOT WOTCO at the beginning of your opening hand. If we are truly advantage DIs, what are we afraid of? Every toss brings us one closer to a SO, so why waste your first toss? You A...

Dork, Sage advice from Darth. Just doing that will get you where you want to go. You obviously know all the sequences the dealers make as they go though the hand. Keep your head in it and know each move in advance. Also keep in mind that the dealer will be anticipating your moves based on what norma...

Re: 100X Odds - Gimmick or Benefit?

Some people do play for comps. I don’t know who or where, but some people just have disposable income that they want to play around with and gamble, enjoy the experience, and maybe get some free rooms and meals in the process. These people I am referring to are the true “recreational gamblers” if a...

Suncoast used to be very sweaty. It's one of those places where Dice Coach got barred years ago.
