Re: Sensible Bets

Pointman, it depends whether you factor a comeout 12 (a push) as a "result" of your bet (1.36%), or if you disregard it since you win/lose nothing on it (1.40%)

Re: Best Game in Town - Part Deux

The average loss is $0, regardless of initial bet, making the ratio 0 as well.

Re: Best Game in Town - Part Deux

I'm not sure what you're trying to prove here other than triple/triple field has the same number of winning dice combinations as double/triple or even double double, but your chart clearly shows the total expected return is 0. This is the definition of house edge. It has nothing to do with how many ...

Re: Math math math . . .

The casinos want people to stay longer so they can outlast any positive variance the player may come across - not give out the entire vault on one roll of the dice.

The $3500/$4500 payout on a $500 hardways bet is comparable to $3000-$5000 passline max that is commonly found.

Re: Math math matn . . .

1. The probability of winning hard 6 is 1/11 (1 way to win and 10 ways to lose) The probability of winning it three times in a row is 1/11*1/11*1/11 = 1/1331 = 0.075% (no, that's not 7.5%) you can expect to bet $1331 before finally hitting a triple parlay for $1000, for a net loss of $331. 2. As sta...

Re: Question on BoneTracker

You may want to check out WinCraps. You can dump your rolls into it, and program betting strategies into it (it's a proprietary thing developed exclusively by/for WinCraps, but if you're writing vbscript already you shouldn't have much problems other than getting accustomed to its syntax/intricacies...

Re: "Double D" prop bet

Thanks! I assume this works similar to the All/Tall/Small in that even a come out 7 wipes everything out, but who knows. Their website is a little..um.. lacking. http://infinitegamedevelopers.com/ The broad bar bet on their site is interesting as well. From what I can interpret out of their limited ...

"Double D" prop bet

I just received a promo from the Harrington Raceway & Casino in Harrington, DE. It claims to have a "Fire Bet" style side wager for crapless craps called "Double D" Anybody heard of this before? I searched all over and can't find anything. I don't go there often as it's a 2 h...

Re: Prop Plays - What Costs More?

I forgot to mention, unless the very last roll is a 7, you will have money left on the hardways to pick up, if you so wish, as well!

Re: Prop Plays - What Costs More?

A per roll edge is apples to apples, mathematically. Let's assume you play for 36 rolls instead of 60, for simplicity. (The percentages will obviously be the same regardless of number of rolls.) Your expected outcomes are:
hardwayexpected hitswin amountexpected lo...

Re: The All, Small or Tall Bet

Why not play $25 on the DP and lay $50 to guarantee yourself $50 if you seven out or net $100 if you make the point? Seems like a logical approach to me. This makes you more money than simply laying the 10 for say, $90 ($50 for 7 /$100 net for tall, vs $43 for 7 / $85 net for tall) but this is assu...

Re: Prop Plays - What Costs More?

According to wizard of odds http://wizardofodds.com/games/craps/ , hardways have a per roll house edge of 2.78%. The field bet has the same edge at 2.78%, on a 2 or 12 pay triple. In this case, they are essentially equal as far as final outcome goes, but with field bet being resolved every single ro...
