Re: "dickwad dealer moves"
The difference with the $36 5/9 in Biloxi is that they auto buy the 5 and 9 starting at $20 (in most places, except for the cheap ass bastards at Harrah's and possibly Treasure Bay). In this case it's to your advantage to bet $36 instead of $35. A $36 buy on the 5/9 will pay $53 (after the $1 vig th...

Don't use Google to try and find it. Use the board search feature for golden double whammy and it will jump right out at you.

Re: When is it discipline and when is it fear?
620 equates to a full stack each of white, red and green chips. I've moved by standard buy in from 620 to 1020. I sometimes get strange looks from the dealer when I tell him the buy in amount after I throw down my money, but then I tell him I want a stack of green, a stack of red, a stack of white (...

Re: How should house vig dictate my betting scheme?
It seems like there were a couple of points that weren't immediately obvious in the original post. I interpreted that "$30 each on all the Inside Place numbers, and $10 each on the 4 and/or 10, with no Odds on the PL to start" to mean $120 inside, including the point, $10 4 and 10 for a to...

Re: How should house vig dictate my betting scheme?
Besides Heavy's comments on the merits of betting into numbers that haven't been tossed yet at the expense of ones that have hit, I've never understood the rationale that many people seem to have of placing a number that is established as a point rather than using those same funds as a free odds bet...

I agree with you WC, both on the quality of the Palace buffet, as well as preferring the gaming experience of Biloxi over Las Vegas. In fact, Las Vegas is now in third place for me behind Biloxi and Black Hawk.

Both. It should be detailed in the sub-forum somewhere
But the basic schedule is
15-36-80-80-200
From there, it's as aggressive as you want it to be, once you collect at 200.

Grinder, you need to learn the Parson Press for the 5 and 9. It was built for Biloxi!

Re: What happened to regression strategies?
I've recently been toying with a layered approach to a 220 inside regression play. It's based on the dominant number approach that I'm a big proponent of. I'll start with 220 inside. First hit, I'll rack the $70. The number that hit stays at the same bet level. The other 3 numbers I regress to a 110...

Re: do you play every shooter?
My approach is similar to Heavy's. The first time I see a shooter, I'm in information gathering mode, watching to see how I want to approach that shooter on subsequent hands.a d base my approach on that Intel. Regardless of the shooter I qualify every one. I'll skip the come out and wait for the sho...

Re: Chasing the point
I'm similar to O in my chasing approach. I don't generally change sets to chase a point and stick to my primary inside set to try and continue to hit box numbers. I will change sets to try to snipe last numbers on the ATS. When playing crapless, I'll generally start out with my standard inside set a...

Re: New ten second rule
Setting the dices shouldn't take more than 3 seconds IMHO. Maybe 4 if you get short-sticked. Set, gripped and ready to shoot in 5 seconds. Aim, focus and breath - another 4 to four seconds, then dice in the air by 8 seconds unless there's a distraction at the other end of the table. I think the art...

Re: To Lay or Not to Lay - That is the Question
The same goes for the 5 and 9 in Biloxi where they auto buy at 20 (except for cheap ass Harrahs which doesn't auto buy until $40,and they'll make it sound like they're doing you a favor). A $15 5/9 pays $21 while a $20 bet pays $29.

Re: To Lay or Not to Lay - That is the Question
I generally do not lay the last number. I'll change sets, based on my coaster group tendencies from bone tracker, to one that is dominant for that last number. The new features in BT have really changed my approach to the game in this regard. I am now a lot more confident in switching sets to try an...

Re: This strategy worked like a charm... or did it?
If you're a low roller and not a big presser (i.e. conservative), then it seems out of character to try a strategy that relies so heavily on hop bets. I wouldn't be a fan of this strategy, but it appears to have worked out for you thus time. I'd be wary of it though. Instead of the hops, maybe try $...

Re: What are your Craps Knowledge Gaps
on the roll to win game, there is a spot that says "place to lose" next to the lay. what does that pay? The place to lose bet is the opposite of a place bet, much like a DP/DC is the opposite of a PL/Come bet. It's a dark side bet that does not have to go through a come out toss to establ...

Re: Did you bet the pass line when you’re not the shooter?
I rarely play the pass line when I'm not the shooter. If I'm with other known shooters, and the table has a bonus bet that requires a line bet then I'll have one out there then. Other than that, no. Well, unless I'm playing OHCM or some other grind it out variant on other shooters, then I'll likely ...
