Re: HELP PLEASE!

I went through this same concern in the past year. Part of it is simple... high risk = high reward. The guys you see winning $1000s on the great hands are losing hundreds on the poor - average hands. Their "strategy" is to just keep at it and hope the big hand comes along that makes up for...

Re: "Dicer's Two Hit and Down Progression"

I like set plays like this and this does have some appeal but I doubt I'd ever try it live. In my experience it's pretty rare to get five hands in a row that achieve two hits. More likely is a few two-hit hands and a PSO. It would really be a drag to get to that 5th level and then lose all that's be...

Re: How to protect an early trip win?

A thing we find very helpful is to have a planned play for each session. Stick to that play and accept the win or loss that the session play can yield. If we do a day trip then we usually play the same pay, like $56 inside. But if we have a long trip we might mix it up. $96 across 1 hit and regress ...

Re: In Search of MY Betting Startegy

I agree with LS. You're betting at least $110 on the first roll. Too much for a $200 loss limit. You could simply change to accepting a $250 loss limit or only put $15 each on the 5&9. Or use a $600 buy-in with $300 loss limit. No point in starting with rules that are going regularly to get brok...

Re: How would the casino react: MP $204 'take me down' on 2

I think this is a pretty good play. Better to over than under-regress in the long run. If you do start hitting points then rebuild up and out. You need those big wins from the long rolls to make up for the PSOs. They (the casino) won't care because you'll hit PSOs or PPSOs about 30% of the time.

Re: My doppelganger played the RR's...

Hmmm... is it a violation? Shootitall, I wonder. What's your recommendation? I'll buy in with 500-700 with the intention of playing my version of MP's 204 Across. I'll usually buy in with those amounts, but I'll have a total of ~$1600 with me. My scheme's risk is $207 on a PSO with 6/8 as the point...

Re: multiple loss secions using MP's 204 across

I just ran the MP$204 against all of the rolls we recorded from July 2013 through July 2014. 12,497 rolls. 1,511 hands. Randies and our own shooting combined. Not a validated edge in this shooting by any means. Final result was a loss of -$12,306. So if Mr x has faithfully followed this strategy des...

Re: Nelli ? Rumor on 7 out

I heard in Vegas that when you see consecutive crap #s come out that is the sign that the 7 is coming, also all the numbers but yours hit, then its time to get off the table. ? I think these are pretty good rules of thumb. The reason is that the seven ALWAYS comes. It might come after two craps num...

Re: asian lady at cherokee

I think that's just her pattern. A lot of people have a betting pattern. It's human nature to notice when someone else's pattern wins and then start to wonder if that pattern is an overall winning play worth trying. What we usually don't notice is when a pattern fails. Only the bettor really knows h...

Re: What do you expect to earn/leave on a nice 40+ hand?

So, we pick our poison and pick our hero. With any MP across type of play the poison is the PSO. The hero is the fact that you can make a profit off of a relatively mundane table. 4-6 roll hands do just fine. Longer hands do great. Only PSOs hurt. If you do a one-count you just move the pain point o...

Re: Does "Big" money draw naturally draw heat?

When we started playing the MiniMP$96 I noticed an immediate increase in attention and respect from the dealers. We were still buying in for $500, but instead of betting $12 now and then, we were making them work for us on every roll. I think a lot of dealers take pride in learning your play and get...

Re: What do you expect to earn/leave on a nice 40+ hand?

Thanks for all the feedback. It's interesting to see that most plays that make good profit off of a hand like this leave about 40%-60% of the earnings on the table. Bry's play does better than mine or BankerDude because (primarily) he starts with larger bets in the $25 range versus our starting bets...

Re: The big one that got away.......

So much of the satisfaction of this game is timing, perspective and perception. On most nights wouldn't you be thrilled to double your buy in? So, from one perspective, the big one didn't get away at all. You cashed in on it. I can relate to your feeling because I've left the casino up monetarily bu...

Re: What do you expect to earn/leave on a nice 40+ hand?

Thanks for the detail BD. I notice that you don't press your odds on the point as the hand progresses but you do press the placed bets. Sometimes I do and sometimes I don't. This time I did and while it paid nicely on the early points, I lost $175 on that last four that she didn't hit. Any thoughts ...

The Garg One.
So what would you expect to win on this hand and leave on the table starting with $64 across?

Re: What do you expect to earn/leave on a nice 40+ hand?

This discussion raises another question. How much of your play is preset and how much is freestyle? When we took Heavy's class he told us (and then showed us live) that he bets very much in the moment. His play and press schedule is constantly adjusted based on table conditions. MP promotes a play t...
