Re: How much is you gambling budget for your next trip to Ve

Good timing on the thread..... Heading to Vegas for a long weekend in November. Three full days. I like to mix it up as such: 65% Craps , 25% Sports, 10% Poker. Typically 5 stacks will do the trick, and when I lose bad, I still have $2000 at the end of the trip....so equate that to a 60% LL. $484 in...

Very true...

I want to say that @ in Biloxi at the Grand, 5/9 might be "auto buys" at $20.

Re: Firebet Hedge

The doey/don't wouldn't help when he's trying to establish a DC and a place bet at the same time. [snip] But what about a craps? Ugh! Better throw a field bet out for $500 to cover a 12, a $20 aces, and $35 ace-deuce. [snip] Uh, DC wins on a Aces, Ace-Deuce and pushes ("Bar"(ed)" mos...

Re: Firebet Hedge

With that said, I like TwinStix's idea of taking down all of the Place/Buy bets and using them to make the Lay - assuming that they are all long since paid for. [/i] .....naturally.... In the rare event that they HAVE NOT been paid for (which would be short of a miracle for a 6th point FB type hand...

Re: Firebet Hedge

If the last point on a fire bet (all six points) is a 4 or 10, and the payout is 250-1 for 5 points hit, I combine all working place bets and lay the point.

Boom.

Has worked more times than not.

Re: why is it so hard..................

MP wrote a great piece once on this very subject. The gist of it is this: Most always it's better to listen to that little guy in your head. Don't turn em off but put them in the rack.

Maybe he'll be so kind as to link the article from TDI a few years back.

Re: Random Rollers

Randys have damn near run me out of the joint. On the contrary, I've also managed to triple my buy in on a randie at NYNY last September. I'm all for taking what the table is giving. We play craps because we like action and a little more coin in our pockets than we walked up to the table with. Does ...

I guess it all depends on how youre betting.

Three PSOs in a row sounds like hot action to a darksider.

How do you usually play?

Wow...see some familiar handles from over at crapsforum.com

Thats good to see.

Superstition alone....qualify shooter for my line bet only after he/she has established and hit a point. That doesn't stop me from making place bets with the shooter straight out of the gate. :)
